Biewers & Yorkie question... Besides being a different breed but coming from a yorkie and still sometimes being bred back to a yorkie, What are the differences in personality between the two breeds? |
I don't have any first hand info that I can share, but just wanted to say Hi & Welcome! :) |
I have found my Biewers to be more laid back, quiet and friendlier than the Yorkies I have had. My Biewers love everyone, they love other animals, they don't bark and they don't have the sometimes out of control terrier attitude and spirit like Yorkies can have...and I say that in the most loving way because I love Yorkies. The Biewers just have a different attitude and demeanor than the Yorkies over all...mine don't dig and destroy things, they don't bark and they aren't hyper at all. |

The best description I can give...they are more gentle. It is actually very difficult to explain the difference but it's apparent. |
Thank you for taking the time to respond!!! =) Im hoping one would get along well with my Golden Retriever, and chihuahua. |
I have a splitter (yorkie/biewer) and she definitely has a biewer personality. very laid back, very loving and gentle, very tolerant. doesn't bark unless someone is coming home and even when she does that i can quiet her down with one word. its very hard to describe because i know a lot of yorkie owners will say their yorkies are just like that. i think you need to experience both the breeds to really get it. |
