The surgeon said that he would take a while to mend but when he start to pick his leg up even in the house, that's when we got really worried. It was one thing on the uneven grass, but in the house was really strange. You are so right, even though the doc said that he should not have any problems with it, I will always sneak little looks at it. ;)

Yeah, the surgeon said that it is probably him remembering the pain and the soreness and wants to baby his leg. I can understand that with Maggie jumping on him and him getting the zoomies and climbing up and down the doggie stairs to the sofa. Trust me, my neighbors all make fun of me because I would pick him up after awhile on our walks and they would always ask, "who is walking who?" lol.

That's wonderful!!!! So sweet of your DH to be so watchful and intuned with the little guy. When my poodle had that surgery we had to do physical therapy with her to stretch out her knee and exercise it. It was basically just pushing, stretching and rubbing the knee. I'm so glad it's not more surgery. I'm never forget how much pain Mischa was in after it. So heartbreaking.

I am glad that Mischa is doing much better. That is what I was afraid for Hot Rod if it had been more surgery for him. I told hubby that I couldn't go thru it again. and if he did have to go thru it, he was coming to work with me instead of being cooped up in his crate. It's amazing just how much these little ones get into your heart. :)

Totally agree!!! The recovery was so horrible to watch her go through.

Funny thing is that went Mischa had her surgery I had family members in other states calling to check in on her. :rolleyes: They not only become our children, but our parent's grandchildren and sibling's nieces and nephews. :D

So glad Hot Rod doesn't have to go through that again!!!

Oh I know you are relieved....and to have gottne even better news when you got to the vets is great to hear !!! I'm glad he's doing better and I'm sure Maggie is too...:D
