Why was the thread about the baby on the top of the forum closed?? I would like to know why the thread about the baby on the top of the forum was closed off for discussion. I for one think he is a real cutie, but the green eyes should have been photoshopped IMO. Is it a status symbol if your dogs eyes glow green? I also think maybe a true breed standard of one of our many fine champion show dogs would have been more appropriate but it is not up to me. I'm ok with the baby on the top like I said. Oh I see if we don't agree with something the discussion is automaticly closed. I don't mean to make trouble but people have a right to discuss their opinions. sorry |
I don't know anything about the thread your talking about, however the baby on the top of the forum happens to belong to the owner of YT and if something was sad to diss him I would have locked/ closed the thread if I was the admin as well Yoda is the YT icon/mascot... he is YT |
All the OP said was the glowing green eyes were a little scary. I also hate when my babies eyes glow in pictures they look a little scary to me too. I'm sure it was no offense to the dog or it's owner. My childrens eyes glow sometimes in a picture and it is a little freaky. That was all. |
Sam has that same alien eye glow sometimes and I would NEVER photoshop. I dont think that anytime you (generally speaking) disagrees with YT that a thread is closed. I have not read the thread that you are speaking of but I agree that Yoda is YT, glowing eyes and all. To me, it would be like going into someone's home that they built from the ground up and saying, Excuse me but I really dont like the way your kid smiles, so can we put up another one? ... Thats just my thought on it. |
I normally don't post on these threads, but, I agree with FlDebra's comment on the closed thread. Also, sweet Yoda was the "inspiration" for this forum! I am very slow to anger but don't mess with Yoda! |
I love seeing pictures of yorkies with the green glow to their eyes, I don't find anything scary about it. The green glow just means the dog most likely has a silky coat. Now the red glow can be a little scary but I know it just usually indicates the dog has a cottony coat. |
Green Eyes I think this is funny. I just took a picture of Emily on Friday and she has green dots as well. I've just started using Office Picture Manager and tried red eye removal which didn't work. Oh well, I still love the picture and have it on my desktop.:aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork |
Now I'll have to go home and take pictures of the pups and see what color their eyes are... :) I think Yoda is a doll and he is the only official YT mascot. :) |
#1 It was the first post the poster had made #2 The poster wanted to make it some kind of competiton on who had the "cutest" yorkie , then have that one as the mascot. #3 The OP. did not even bother asking who's Yorkie it belonged to. #4 It was not very long ago that the same thread was started by anther poster. #5 A adimistrater has every right to close a thread without any exclaimation. They have their reasons and it ought to be respected. :thumbup: |

The OP may not have known it was Admin's dog. I've seen this topic come up a few times before. I do think Yoda is cute as a button, and the green eyes never bothered me, but since other people have asked, I wonder if it might ever be changed. I'm sure there are many, many cute Yoda pictures to choose from. Totally up to admin, though. There's one picture of Thor I keep, not because it's cute but because it's so incredibly awful. His eyes are backlit (orange) and his whiskers are sticking straight up, so not only does he look like the devil, only these tiny orange slits are visible. If I get up the energy to shrink it down, I'll post it. :) |

I like the green eyes! To me it symbolizes that Yoda is "ONLINE". Just like the little green dot below our post count to the left that shows when we're online too. It's cool :thumbup: |

I'm the person who closed the other thread (not admin), and I'm going to close this one as well. As stated before, Yoda is a beloved yorkie who belongs to the owner of this site. I think if there was a thread about one of my yorkies, Wylie or Marcel - and the pros and cons of their "look" or eyes, I would be hurt. I just don't think it's appropriate to discuss another member's beloved baby, unless the thread is started by the owner of that particular yorkie. If anyone disagrees or feels the need to further discuss this, please PM admin or myself. |
