Would love for yorkietalk to change its mascot
 
I love this site but would love it if they could change the picture of the mascot. Is anyone else bothered by the scary glowing green eyes?

One idea is if yorkietalk could have a picture contest where we can all upload the cutest pics of our yorkies and vote on the best one. Just a thought.

That Yorkie is one of the owners of this sites Yorkie. Fasteddie I think. Its been up there forever. No the green eye glow dosent scare me. My Mickeys eyes glow green in pictures too.

I've never taken notice to the green eyes before so I guess they don't bother me.

I'm sure the Administrator of YT thinks his pup is the cutest pup on YT :D Yorkies with a silkie coat always have green eyes in there pictures. Nancy1999 has posted about this phenomenon with a really great explanation in the past.

*gasp!* I'm sorry, but I am a loyal follower to YT and any logo, mascot, etc is my priviledge to view. Hmmm, maybe I just threw fuel to the fire.

Golly Gee , My Suzi has Green Glowing Green Eyes Too :p IT is because of the silk coat they have when the picture is taken> This is my understanding . Here I'll show you My Suzi ! :cool:

Strange topic for a very first post on Yorkie Talk! Most people don't make their first post about changing something on a forum they just joined! Everyone else has covered the fact that the logo is a picture of a REAL yorkie of one of YT administrators and the fact that a green eye shine is a positive and admired trait since it often fortells of a silky coat; so, I will just say ..... Welcome to Yorkie Talk. Sit back and enjoy the site just the way it is for a while before staging a rebellion. ;)

I don't think that is fair to say. Some people are just honestly outspoken. I too have never cared for the logo. I have never expressed that because I had read that the furbaby is one of the sites owners. But I know many relate to what the OP stated. My first thought was that it should be a beautiful full body picture, possibly one of our many show champions on the board. And the OP was merely asking if anyone else felt the same way and offering a reasonable suggestion.

We should all be so fortunate as to have a yorkie with glowing green eyes. That shows a fabulous coat. Oh and BTW, it is the admin's dog.

I think he is ADORABLE! I have a pic of my little Sadie and her eyes are glowing yellow...doesn't scare me at all...Matter of fact I never really noticed the glowing eyes in the pic(above)...I enjoy coming here to read stories and try help out others that I can..Hope you enjoy coming here too

:animal36green eyes. What are you talking about,put are Yorkies in a beauty contest and who ever wins, ther oicture gets there? Aren't all YT yorkies beautiful,I think they are and that would be snubbing the other little Yorkies.I think whats on there is fine,never bothered me, really.

That extremely adorable mascot, Yoda, belongs to the owner of this board. The eye flash is natural, as others have mentioned.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't think Yoda is going anywhere - and I, for one, am happy to see his smiling sweet face up there every day. :)
