Alright ... this is just weird Does anyone else's dogs do this? My Zach whenever he wants something or wants to go out and he's adamant about it He'll come up to me and worm his way into my lap and try to eat my entire hand  He will open his mouth as wide as he can and try to fit it in It's the weirdest thing |
Sounds like a little kid grabbing your hand and pulling you in the direction they want to go. I think it's normal. Yorkies are very smart and love to comminicate with you. Roxie has a way of getting it across that she wants something. My job is to figure out what it is lol!! :D |
LOL! Sounds like it's working too! Sophie does something similar. When she needs to go outside on a potty break she'll come and bark at me. However, if she REALLY has to go she will come and bark and softly latch onto your toes and guide you to the door. Or rather make sure if you're walking anywhere, it's to the door to let her out. It's also accompanied by a little urgent growl. |
I can't wait to see what some of the replies are about how others babies get their attention. If one of Roxie's bones or a toy is buried under you or in the couch cushion or someplace unreachable she will just keep barking at us and digging untill you get it for her lol!! I love her. |
I had a Great Dane named Tessa, years ago, who used to take my hand in her mouth when she wanted to go for a walk. We often walked down the sidewalk that way...Tessa proudly taking her human for a walk, head held high. :D What a sweet and gentle dog she was... :) |

I agree...Danes are fabulous dogs. They don't live long enough, though...you lose them too soon. I can't take it. :( |
Well, I'm always on the computer. Uni will come up to me stand on her back legs, and front legs on my leg. If I go to pick her up and she doesn't move, that means she wants to sit up on my lap. If I go to get her and she backs off, that means "Get off the d*mn computer and play with me!" Another time-- I sew a lot, and Uni loves to play and dig in my scrap fabrics (sometimes the not scrap ones as well). So bf decided to put a sheer fabric over her and see how long it takes for her to find the opening. Since it was sheer she couldn't find the opening (b/c it all looked like the opening) and after a minute or so gave up and just layed there. So I went and "rescued" her, and she ran right up to bf on the computer and slapped him on his leg and barked at him! She was mad at him! (I kind of was too...) but she got over it in a few mins. But it was equivalent to her slapping him! |
