Welcome to YT!!! Congratulations on your new baby! As for him in the winter months are you meaning for little out door walkies? I'm assuming he lives inside. For walkies in the snow just get a coat and be careful how long you stay outdoors. We live in VA and though we don't get a tenth of the snow that you get I still wear a coat on Barley outdoors. If we do happen to get a little snow we only go out for about 20 minutes to play in it and then it's inside for a dry off and warm blankie ;o) Hope that helps. Welcome again! |
Hi and :welcome4: to YT! Glad to have you here! |
Hi! :wavey: Welcome! |

I'm a little concerned about declawing your cat at this late stage. Dogs will learn to stay away from cats, from what I've heard, and declawing is very painful, especially on an adult cat. Maybe you could post a thread and ask the question. There are lots of Yorkie owners who also have cats. |
Hi Hi, I love it when they have a playmate! It must be so cute watching them play together. I've been trying to slowly introduce my rabbits to my pups so no one gets hurt. Anyway, back to your baby..Congratulations! Also, a Yorkie is too tiny to be left outdoors for any length of time. They do have the cutest coats for the days that are very cold during potty runs. Just be careful to keep them dry because a wet cold coat is worse than no coat at all:) Good luck and glad you're here!! |

Hi!:D and Welcome to both you and Roscoe!! :welcome4: |
Welcome Jen! Congrats on the new baby! |
Hi Jen--- I am originally from MI. I have a cat and two Yorkies and they have been with me for 6 months and not once has the cat gotten them with the claws. The dog stays out of the cats way when she doesn't want to play and the cat know how to play gently. We have one cat that is declawed and I think it was a bad choice. It was life altering for her. It made her use her teeth more and she developed a lot of sensitivity with her paws. I would give them a chance to work it out first and not worry about it. |
What a cutie! :) Hello & Welcome... |
