When a yorkie gets shaven how long does it take for their coat to grow back out? Is a months kind of thing or am i looking at years. Mine is full coated and I intend to keep her this way forvever but one of her ears is getting droopy. So I thought maybe I will shave it but only depending on how long it will take for her coat to grow back out. I really wouldn't like her to be looking acward. :confused:

if its the ears getting shaved that grows really fast i did it to mine when we first got her

I keep Mollies shaved. I normally have to do it every 2 - 4 weeks I'm not sure how long it would take for it to completely grow out. Maybe 2 - 3 months. Sorry I can't be of more help. Each dog is probably different. You are just talking about shaving her ears right?

I would also like to know when yorkies hair gets shaved like in a puppy cut how long it takes to grow back out.

When Tini had her surgery in the beginning of July, they shaved her bald on 1/4 of her body. It has finally gotten to the point where her skin is not showing through and it blends in. Definately not long yet.....
So...it takes longer than 2 months....but probably less than 4.

I had Chanel in a short puppy cut a long time ago and it takes a good 4 months or MORE to grow back - their hair grows very similar to ours so imagine how long YOUR hair would take to grow out from a butch :D

I love puppy cuts - but if you think it grows back quickly - it really doesn't - Which is why if someone lives in cold weather and plans to cut their yorkie short - remember they'll be naked during the cold months so have lots of sweaters handy

I did not think that it would take that long, so I had Yoda cut to a puppy cut...the cold weather has started here in Michigan and I so wish that I would not have done it...thankfully he has lots of warm clothes to wear...I know that I will not have him cut that short again, although he is really cute in this cut :p
