carriers Okay, so once you have that cute little purse carrier for your yorkie where do you put your personal stuff? Are there pockets for money, makeup etc? Or do you guys carry a separate purse for yourself? Also has anyone used the puppy purse? It's like a harness with straps and it seems people really really love it or think it is a horrible idea. |
I have a few dog carriers, my Juicy Couture one has a place for your personal stuff but none of the other 4 I have to so I just take a small purse with me also |
The juicy ones are so pretty. I really like the beige one. Is it pretty light? |

I kinda think the puppy purse looks uncomfotable for the dog. JMO. But as for carrier, I have one with a pocket so I can put my wallet in there and ditch the purse. Its just too hard to carry a purse with a carrier. |

if a purse is uncomfortable what makes a carrier different  |

http://www.puppypurse.com/story.html I like the juicy and it's handy because it has the pocket for your stuff. I don't find it to be heavy unless I am carrying it for a couple of hours and then to me, any carrier gets heavy. When I use a carrier without a pocket I use a wristlet that hooks to the handle to carry a few small items. |
ewwwwwwwwwwwww that does look uncomfortable  |
Oooh.....the wristlet idea is great. The puppy purse is like a harness vest with carrying straps. I think it's a neat idea, but they don't have any support under their feet. And you guys are right, it's bound to get uncomfortable on their little tummies. I think I will just get a normal carrier. Someone on YT was advertizing a carrier that was made out of material that was super close to the coach scribble bags. Shanatink was that you? It was really cute. Do you guys know if the juicy bags are airline approved? |

I try to make a carrier as comfortable as possible. I put a little fleece blanket in it and make it all cozy. Now I dont travel with chloe a lot so when she is in a carrier its just to get her to and from somewhere quickly. I dont think she minds our carrier at all. Actually she seems to like it. Now a "puppy purse" is not a regualar carrier. Its is a thing that a dog wears with a strap so you carry the dog. IMO it looks unfortable for the dog. See my pic below. I dont think a dog can enjoy being hung from a persons shoulder like that. The idea is cute but I dont think it is entirely practical or keeping the dogs safety in mind. |

It was me with the coach replica carriers. I also have some cute faux croc carriers with a little pouch that is connected perfect for wallet and keys. I am not sure if the juicy bag is airline aprroved ot not. |
My Juicy carrier is kinda small but I know they make bigger ones so I think it isn't too heavy. I also have the scribble coach replica one (got it off ebay before I knew Shanatink was selling them) and I just used it for the first time yesterday. I like it a lot but once again it doesn't have anywhere for your stuff! I forgot to mention my small purse was a coach wristlet I always call it a purse lol! Anyhow I just unclipped that and put it around the straps of the carrier. |
i recently called to find out how to take my yorkie inflight. i thought he would be considered my "carry on". but NO! they charge extra for it. they also may not allow you your pet if a certain number of people have theirs. (for delta it was 2) for small pets the carrier: must fit under seat i think but don't quite recall they must be in a hardsided carrier. has to be leakproof if the animal is inflight i believe you can just call reservations and let them know. but since we had one yorkie and one lab, i had to call eeeeeveryone... most of the flight approved carriers are labeled as such. my only advice is to buy from somewhere you can return the product (unlike much of ebay) if you are unsure of the requirements. |
Alot of sellers should know if their carriers are airline approved, which is a great help. I know that only a few of my closed in carriers are. But its always good to ask the seller because chances are they know. |
I've never seen the authentic Coach carriers- what are the main differences between the authentic and replica versions? Shana (or anyone)- your site says that they're airline approved size- is it just the size that makes them airline approved? I know they have to be water proof and your site says the "C" ones are. Is it just waterproofness (is that a word?!) and size? |
They are all so cute, I have a pink one!!! :) I still carry a separate purse. |
