loooonnnnggg haired poop! I've mentioned before how Curly loves my hair and she even tries to eat it. My hair is long, down to my butt, and thick, and she'll play in it as long as I let her. The thing is, she EATS it. Not just chews it but eats it! When she starts biting it, I make her stop because it was really wrecking my hair but then I noticed, she's pooping my hair! She must find it on the floor after I brush it or something because lately, I've had to help her get it all out. By that, I mean she poops but the poop is still hanging off her butt. Upon closer inspection, the poop is ALL the way out but my hair is still inside her AND the poop! I've been keeping a close eye on sweeping everyday so she won't find hair but she still does! WTF??? Why on earth does she eat my hair??? She doesn't seem the least bit happy when I have to pull 6 more inches of hair out of her butt and I guarantee it's no treat for me either!!! |
This made me chuckle :O) I have long hair (not as long as yours but it is pretty long) as well and have seen this a couple of times in my dogs...but it always comes out, I've never had to "help" get the hair out. I think that I shed more than my yorkies, but my hair is easy to pick up since they are long blonde hairs! This sounds yucky for you, but since it's not me, it made me chuckle. Oh the joys of being parents to furbabies!! I hope it gets better for you :O) |
Be very careful pulling on that hair:eek: I've heard of dogs that have had intestinal problems from eating hair/string:( I suggest that you may want to only brush your hair in a certain room (inaccessible to your baby) and then sweeping it up right away. Poor kiddo! And poor you for having to do that, eww:laugh: |
:lol tearsi just got a visual of you standing one end of the garden and your pup the other end with you pulling the hair! Seriously though do you use meat shampoo? lol Seriously, seriously it can't be good for his stomache although cats bring up fur balls. How about a game of tug of war or a nice ball game instead lol |
LMAO! Thanks a LOT y'all! hahaha. I know it's crazy huh! The girl ain't right! OH, and WTF is meat shampoo? Cuz we're vegetarians lmao!!! |
I hate when that happens..ick. |
LMAO! My Misty enjoys munching, fighting, and snuggling in my hair too. Yes, there have been times where I've had to assist in pulling my hair out of her. :) |

I've seen this happen with Uni before too. All the hair comes out, but you can see the little poo bits connected together by hair. You do need to be careful if there is still hair inside though. I would just cut it off rather than pull it out, you could do some damage to to intestines. Also be very careful that they don't get into the trash where they could swallow dental floss. That's even worse! |
I'm always really careful and ever forcefully pull it out. If it tugs back at me, I quit and wait till next time. Yes, Curly has had ass hair cuts hahaha. |
Stupid me would have thought that long hair was a dumb ass worm and would have raced for the vets leaving it hang out...away from me! |
My friends elderly mum once had to pull a plastic carrier bag out of her Labrador, the Lab would eat anything but still lived to the ripe age of 16. |

the things that our dogs eat!!! Only one of my dogs does that, she eats thread from our towel..those threads were frayed and she just tugs it, eat n eat n eat n eat. Her poo were full of the thread -- IN GREEN because that towel was green. I was soo mad and yet so worried because I think somehow she has hurt her intestines or tummy as she refused food and we rushed her to the vet. The vet seemed amused , it's like -WHY on earth would a dog eat those threads?? And from that awful incident, we hung the towels completely out of reach or behind closed doors....SO, hair, towels, plastic objects, carriers..why am I not surprised? LOL |
