Any knitters out there?? I love to knit dog sweaters. I was wondering if there are any fellow knitters on YT? |
I don't knit, but I crochet ! Haven't come across any good sweater patterns yet though ! Quote:

There are all sorts of free knitted and crocheted dog sweaters for free on the internet. Just google and google and then google more. It will take a while but some will come. I'll check in my pile of free patterns and email to you if you want. I use the knifty knitter. It makes booties, hats and dog sweaters. Though I haven't made the sweaters yet. So let me go off and start searching ok? |
hi, I just found this site it has knitting and crocheting patterns for dog sweaters. knitting-n-crochet.com/crochet-doggie-sweater.html. Hope this helps you. :D |
I'm a 'dog coat knitter'..dont knit anything else, but i love making coats for Molly. Ive made her 5 so far,(managed to lose one though) and have just bought the wool to make another! She doesnt need that many as she only wears a coat when it is really cold or if we are out and it starts raining, (she loves jumping in puddles, but hates the rain!) but i cant resist making them. :) |
I know how to knit the basic stitches...just have never mastered any type of apparel...but, I would so love to! If anyone wants to share a "really" easy pattern for a novice like me to try, I'd be very appreciative! :D Also...how about sharing a pic or two of your darlings wearing their hand knit goodies???? I'd love to see them!:D |

I will try with the pics. I have not mastered this yet. They always seem to be too big. Here is one of my Biewer in a Multi Blue Cable. (Not an easy pattern.) Attachment 281694 |
I posted a couple on a new album, but I am out of space for pics. |
4 Attachment(s) I love to knit! I also crochet, but I enjoy knitting more. I've been wanting to knit some dog sweaters, but I haven't gotten there yet. Here's a couple scarves I made for my mom and sister last Christmas. |
Those scarves are beautiful. I would love to know where to get the pattern for that lavender one. |

I found both patterns off ravelry.com. I love that site! I found the direct link to the lavender scarf pattern. It's called "Asherton Reversible Scarf". It's really pretty, but very easy to knit up. Asherton Reversible Scarf ~ smariek knits |
Thank You!!! Yours is prettier than the one shown on the pattern. What kind of yarn did you use?? |

1 Attachment(s) Aww, you're too sweet! I'm a fairly new knitter, having crocheted since I was 9 years old (taught by my grandma :)), so that is a huge compliment...thank you. :D Here's the info I have for that particular scarf: Needle: US 8 / 5.0 mm Yarn: Berroco Pure Merino How much? 4 skeins = 368.0 yards (336.5m) Berroco Merino is my favorite yarn to work with, but I found it's not so great with certain patterns. It's quite a stretchy yarn, which works well with scarves since I like to block them to be extra long. I tried it on a hat pattern and it turned out huge. But I guess you could always just go down a couple needle sizes or something to make it work. :) |
3 Attachment(s) I knit as well. Grandma taught me when i was a kid, turned out she taught me wrong when I retaught myself recently. Here's Uni in a sweater I knit. It's very easy, 3/4 rectangle on the back, 1/4 rectangle in front, hand sew together, leaving open the arm holes. You decide if you want turtle neck, rib waistband, or whatever. I learned crochet by myself, but I feel it is much slower than knitting. |
I bought my pattern from ebay..really easy to follow. |
That's really cute. I haven't learned yet how to incorporate another color pattern in. |
i knit a little but crochet mostly. i love it. i may check out some sites for doggie patterns. |

Patiently waiting for my first timer pattern...yeh! :p |
There's a massive knitting website that has tons of free patterns, and many members who upload pictures of their work, so it's interesting to see how different the same pattern looks when it's done by many different people. It's called www.ravelry.com. They even have patterns for doggie sweaters. :animal36:) |
