Jewel's been sluggish lately For the past couple of days, Jewel hasn't jumped up on the sofa or on the bed, as she usually does. She seems fine every other way, but she's just refusing to jump up there. I don't want her to get used to being picked up & put on the furniture & she'll jump up if I give her food, but what could be causing this? Her back legs seem fine, she doesn't appear to be in pain. Thoughts? JM |

I can't help you here but just watch her closely - and see how she moves etc. That or she is just being a little Diva and wants mommy picking her up :D |

I don't have answer for you, but have the same problem with Dudley. He plays okay but just doesn't seem to want to jump up like he used to. |

What worries me is that her energy level seems to have dropped. I mean, she has ALWAYS been healthy (*knocking on wood*) & this is just kinda bizarre. I'm definitely keeping an eye on her & not picking her up just b/c she's staring at the sofa again. I'm giving her time to "decide" to jump up. *sigh* JM |

How old is she ? If we see a change in their energy or actions it's a sign of something - maybe very small - but it could be a sign she isn't feeling good - maybe have a talk with the vet to see what he says ? You know her better than anyone and if you think something might be wrong - then I would make a call and talk to her vet - good luck - |

She'll be 6 yrs old in 3 mos. She shouldn't be losing energy at this point. I will check with the vet if she doesn't improve. Thx for the advice. JM |

I sure hope she's just being a little diva and there's nothing wrong with her! Puppy kisses from Maddie! |
