Unbelievable Here's another story of how horrible some people can be. The source is the Duluth News-Tribune in Duluth, MN. "Five German shepherd-husky mix puppies were found in a box today on Martin Road, apparently dumped there by someone who didn’t want them. A driver passed the box, almost hitting it, and then went back to move it off the road because of safety concerns. When he looked inside the box, he saw the puppies, according to Jim Filby Williams, executive director of the Animal Allies shelter in Duluth. The puppies were brought to Animal Allies. They're young -- about seven to eight weeks old -- but generally in good shape, Williams said. One of the dogs has "a rare congenital defect--two left front legs," Williams said. Veterinarians at the shelter think all of the puppies will be able to be adopted, beginning Tuesday. They are examining the dogs this afternoon. Gabriel, the puppy with the leg deformity, may need surgery. The dogs were found on Martin Road between Howard Gnesen Road and Woodland Avenue. If you are interested in adopting one of the puppies, you can call Animal Allies at 722-5341" Thank God that they stayed in the box and no one hit the box. The Martin Road is a fairly busy road wil lots of big trucks driving on it. |
Althought it is a story about how horrible people can be -- it is also a story about the good people can do! Thank goodness that man decided to do such a nice thing to move the box so it would not be a hazard! One little good deed wound up probably saving the lives of all those little pups! |
It goes to show there can be some really mean and nasty people in this world and then there are the ones that can make up for it. Whoever dumped them there must have just wanted them dead :(. Why not go down to wal mart at least? They always give puppies away there. But I'm glad they are safe. |
Update An update on the German Shephard puppies that were abandoned on the road in Duluth, MN. Four of the five puppies have been adopted! The fifth one has a broken leg and as soon as a vet sets the leg, a few more people want him. A happy ending, no thanks to the people who abandoned them. |
UNBIEVBLE somepeople have no heart! |
im so glad they were all safe tho glad for the man who found them! |
