Am I crazy I want to put my furbaby
 
in my vow renewal ceremony?
I will be married 25 years and we are going to have a second wedding. My friend thinks that I am crazy because I want to put my furbaby in wedding attire and let him sit with us at the alter. Am I nuts? or it OK?

You are NOT crazy, I consider my furbaby a part of my FAMILY. You go ahead and do it. Tell your friends to step off LoL. By the way, congrats! 25 years is a long time. I've only been married a little over a year and it seems like forever! haha

I don't think you are nuts. :) I think it's your vow renewal ceremony, and you should include anyone you feel should be there. I know I will want my girls to be a part of my wedding, because they are such a big part of my life.

I don't think it's crazy, but in fact I think it's a great idea. I'm sure most of the guests would probably think it's pretty cute also. It's yours and your husbands day so do what makes you both happy. Best wishes for another 25 plus years. :) :)

Seriously, congratulations! 25 years is a huge accomplishment. Here's wishing you 25 more very happy years together!

And lot's of folks have the family dog in the ceremony. Go for it!

I agree it is a decision only for you and hubby to have a say in! I think it will be cute. Your friend really should have kept that opinion to herself. I assume she is not paying for it or renewing her vows at the same ceremony, so as a guest, she needs to hold her tongue.

Are you going to have the Yorkie formal wear custom made by one of our fantastic YT clothiers? Can't wait fo rthe pics!

While "outsiders" might think it's crazy, we here at yorkietalk think it's great!! My dog is def. a member of my family and when the years have passed and your doggie is waiting for you at rainbow bridge, you will be so glad to have those wonderful pictures to look back on reminding you of how much he meant to you and what a big part of your family he really was. Don't worry if people think you are crazy. Do what makes you happy. It's your ceremony

That isn't crazy at all!! I think it's cute. My boyfriend and I talk about marriage..and he's even mentioned something about our yorkie, Riley to be in the wedding.. It's cute.. Whose to say anything about what you want on YOUR remarriage day?! If they don't like it, they don't have to attend, is how I feel about it! Congrats, that's a long time to be married! :o)

Go for it...your marriage, your yorkie, your vows being renewed... tell them to get over it ! they are just invited guests and if they decide to become a critic they can't possibly be both a guest and a critic!! Life's too short why don't they focus on the fact that you and your husband are renewing vows after 25 years, so many marriages don't get to that point because of either death or divorce! Enjoy your husband and yorkie and nix the critics! (take them off of the guest list if they can't be supportive!!!) :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
