What is a tri-color yorkie? ????? |
Also known as a parti yorkie. It's a yorkie who has white in it's coloring. |
Well Munchie has white/grey on gis head, chest and tommy. I was told as he gets older this will do away. Will it? i actually like the white. Will he be one of these yorkies??? |
What is a tri-color yorkie? From what I understand they are yorkies that are not reconized by the AKC. Some yorkies don't meet the breed standard with off coloring and breeders sell them as tri-color or party colored. Some of these breeder's are charging as much as $4,500:mad:. We all love our babies no matter what the breed standard, I just think it's wrong:mad:to charge people that much money for a dog that can't be a show dog and can't even be registerd. |
I dont think so. Partis have a lot of white on them even when they are born I think. Its different from the grey-ish stage that reg. yorkies go thru. |

no, a parti yorkie is almost all white, with spots of the other colors that were mentioned. There are several people on this forum that have parti colored yorkies. Some yorkies are born with white on them that will go away after the pup starts growing its coat. |

Parti yorkies ARE reconized by the AKC, they are considered a color fault and can not be shown. Biewers are not reconized by the akc. |
