Bringing home a new baby tomorrow:)
 
Tomorrow is the day we are picking up our new baby. She is a Shih tzu . I could have picked her up Sat, but was very sick with the Flu for days :eek:
I started a thread about her last week, and posted pictures. Problem is the breeder called me on thur. and informed me she had given me the wrong pup. She told me that one had already been chosen. ;( All her pups had these little plastic collar's on them with numbers. The breeder placed pup number 5 in my arms. how disappointing it was to find out she handed me the wrong one . I did see all her puppies and they all looked very alike. I knew it was an honest mistake on the breeders part.
Now, I need to repost pictures of the puppy that is ours! I do not even know ;( I ought to be very upset right? But I understood.
Since the puppy is going to be a female , pure bred with AKC papers, and they all were so adorable I guess that is why I was not angry.
With AKC papers , I need to have a full name for the puppy? If so what are some good choices? DO people usually use their last names for their pups?

:cheer:Congratulations! :cheer: When I read that you adopted a Shih Tzu, I got all excited. Shih Tzus are one of my favorite breeds. I just love their personality and teddy bear face. I cannot wait to see pictures of your new dog. Yeah, your Yorkie just got a new playmate. :woof:

I am looking at your flashing avater, and see that you have one too> How do your two get along? Can give you me some advice on introducing them? Suzi is a 15month old female, and my new baby is 8weeks , and 2lbs. I am nervous how she is going to react with a new pup. Suzi behaves like a pup still , and has been very loved, and the center of attention .

When I got Baxter the breeder had 2 boys left. I was going to take him home later but was afraid to wait b/c I couldn't tell the 2 puppies apart! I looked at a Shih tzu recently and fell in love but can't manage another puppy right now. But there is always the future! Congratulations. Sorry you were sick. Good luck with the new puppy.

My Shih Tzu and Yorkie are great companions. My Shih Tzu is five years older than my Yorkie. She was use to being the only dog getting all the love and attention. When I adopted Josh last year, my Shih Tzu was not thrilled. Josh wanted to play with her, and he followed her around the house. She would run away from him or try to lie in my lap. He eventually wore her down, and she started playing with him. Now they are best friends. I am sorry I cannot give you good advice about how to introduce your new dog to your other dog. I am sure somebody on this forum can help you with that question. My situation was different from yours, so they will probably be best friends on day one. :)

Congratulations! I love Shih tzus too.....my MIL has two and they are the sweetest things!
