Oh my stars. So I was in PetSmart yesterday with Max doing some shopping. This guy that worked there approached me like 3 different times seeing if I needed help. I appreciate that, but once is enough, ya know. ;) Well I guess Max sensed something because HE MARKED ME! He got my pant leg, foot, and flip flop! Yep! He has never done this EVER. I don't know if I should be offended or honored! I don't know if he wanted to show that guy that I was "his" or what... or if I was just like a fire hydrant lol So yeah, there you go Quicksilver, MY OWN DOG MARKED ME... I am complete shock!

Has anyone else's babies marked them?

You should feel totally honored! LOL! The dear little guy wanted it to be very clear who you belonged to! ;)

YES! lol He was like, "oh wow, that's a first... let me go get something to clean that up." He was very polite and insisted on cleaning up the floor (there was a tiny puddle) but most of it was on ME. He even found us later in the store and gave Max a treat, so he was a nice guy! :)

Wow, how crazy is it that when our furbabies pee on us its a sign of affection? Wow, I am so lucky to be so blessed and to be so OWNED by a lil 5-6lb creature! :rolleyes:

I take Riot to Petco when I can make it for Puppy Play Group and last time, he marked both my knee (I was sitting on the ground) AND my purse!!

Hey, at least it was my own dog and not someone else's!

LOL! I guess Max was telling that Petsmart guy to take a hike as you were HIS! Yes, it is a mixed blessing to be loved so much they mark you!

I really feel like this is one of those doggie signals that does not translate across species. I just don't want to be loved that much. If you must, try to lick my teeth. :rolleyes:

My chocolate lab that I used to have did that to me once. I was sitting on the floor playing with the kids, when all of a sudden I felt warm and wet all down my back! It was soooo disgusting. I have never been marked before or after that. I think he was jealous of the kids or something. Diesel has always tried to pee on all the other dogs while they are peeing outside. You should see him when they get let out first thing...frantically running from dog to dog trying to pee on them. Thankfully he is so short he always misses!
