Bailey had a dead bunny in his mouth! eww! Ok this JUST happened, I go to take Bailey out for a walk,, as we walk out the back door, he darts under the wicker bench, and starts whipping his head around trying to kill the ALREADY dead baby bunny, that obviously my cat Toto brought home to show me,, ( I know, real nice). So I tighten up his leash,, trying to get him to drop it,,NOT happening, he's all into it, and actually giving me a low growl, so I pick him up, with the bunny in his mouth of course, and my only option is to try to pull it out of his mouth. So I grab it BARE handed and pull it out! EWWWW! I know, not my idea of a good Friday night! So he's mad at me know for taking his kill, ( which I dont think he knows that he cat already did that) And he WILL not be getting any kissed tonight. I already gave him a breath buster! I actually got to witness why they were breed to catch rodents. I just cant look at him the same now,, I'm sure I will get over it, by tomorrow, But that poor little bunny,, :( Toto is grounded by the way! He got a big timeout. |
totally know the feeling. tucker picked up a dead squirrl, why and how the heck do they do those things??? its so nasty! |
Look What I have Mom! Quote:
Maybe that bunny was sick and hopped up under that wicker bench and died~ I know that must of kind of started your friday off to a great start... I hear you...no puppy kisses for now... ;) What is a breath buster?? lol  So far..the worse Sophie has done is catch a fly that was sick on the floor... I swiped it up or she would of ate it... Hope Toto will be off time out by tomorrow..lol  |
:D Are you certain he didn't kill it? I have a neighbor whose little yorkie caught and killed a baby bunny. They are so proud of themselves. |
EEEWWW !!!!!!!! :shocked7q My Lulu has killed 2 Possoms... eeuck poohy 1 was atleast 5 lbs. I washed her mouth out with tooth paste and lots of water. Eeeuck !!! :yorkietal |
A breath buster is a dog treat for bad breath. No I saw Toto stalking something something when I got home from work, and I couldn't figure it out, then when I brought him in he cried like crazy to get back outside, then later I saw him chasing it.. and I brought him in again, until he drove me crazy to get out, AGAIN! So he finally got it, Im sure he probably kills it with shock, cause he has No claws. Anyhow,,, Bailey got the leftovers... I'm so grossed out, I dont even wanna sleep with either of them tonight! |

Those suckers are mean, I would have totally freaked on that! |
I have caught Missy with a snake in her mouth !I know she killed it and watch out crawdads lol! |
Awww...He was doing what comes naturally - When we had baby birds and they were learning to fly - Chanel caught one in MID AIR ! It's little neck broke but I had to remember she was playing.... and the bird should have been more careful - It's part of nature and while I know we sure don't want to kiss them after - they think they found something really cool |
Bailey, You did a wonderful job protecting his mommy from that mean attack rabbit. :p :D |
I guess since they are so pretty and little we tend to forget that their breed is terriers and are hunters by instinct. |
Well the saga continued, Sun, afternoon Bailey was following me in the yard, next thing I know he has a CHIPMUNK in his mouth,,, BUT, this little guy had a little more spunk, than the already dead bunny, and he got away... Yes, I have quite the hunter/ killer. ... I know it's what they do,... But I dont wanna see it. |
ewwwww- What a good hunter :D - my girls are going for a squirrell but he just laughs at them |
