Toby got spooked out walking I have been taking Toby out walking the last week or so. He is 14 weeks old. He loved being out. Two nights ago we were out, and a kid went past him really fast and really close on a bicycle and scared the life out of him. He wouldnt walk any further, he just kept jumping to get lifted up, and trembled the whole way home. Now he wont come out walking at all. He constantly pulls to get back home, and walks with his tail between his legs, and shaking. I try bribing him to walk another bit with treats, but he isnt interested. What can I do? |
I would try just bringing him into your front yard, or wherever, and just sit and play with him. He'll get use to the different noises, but in the safety of his own yard. As he gets use to it I would start moving closer, and closer to the street until he's not afraid anymore. I hope this works. |

Poor little guy... :animal-pa Maybe if you carry him a little ways from the house and then put him down he would want to walk home... and as learns nothing bad happens on his way home you can carry him farther and farther away until he's not afraid any more!! :D |
