to wait.. or not to wait. I wrote another post about my yorkies teeth looking bad.. they aren't TOO bad right now.. but a little discolored and he has bad breath. He goes back to the vet in March for his yearly checks.. I was just going to wait till then to get them cleaned.. but should I go ahead and take him now. Will he have teeth problems if I wait or will he be okay? |
Do you brush his teeth? A regular good brushing might do him good. If not, I would take him. Teeth problems can easily lead to worse problems if not treated...Good luck & let us know how you make out! |
Honestly if it were me - I'd just have them do a cleaning - they can become harder to clean if your seeing signs of this already - it's not that much money and it's better for them to have it done when they need it rather than waiting - it can lead to other problems.... and think of his cute yorkie breath once he has nice sparkly teeth.... :) |
I would tell you not to wait...it will only get worse!! But I agree that you should start brushing their teeth once a week to help prevent any more damage....you don't want more problems down the line!! |
How old is he and has a vet looked at them? Usually they recommend a cleaning once a year, but there are also places where they do it more often but they don't put them to sleep and they don't always get below the gum line. Yiu might be able to find someone in your area who does this and then wait until March for the cleaning under the gums. |
He is 2 years old. He hasn't been seen by a vet for it yet.. it just started. When he went in for a checkup in March.. they were perfect. I don't brush their teeth.. but I know I need to start doing it. |
If their teeth are bad I will say to take them to the vet to have a clean up. Always bruh their teeth and dont wait to get the teeth clean it can leand to more serious problems. |
