how to plan a nice vacation? i am going on a vacation with my fiance in july. but i feel a bit clueless as to how to plan a really nice vacation since we want to bring milu with us. she is 14 months old and 3lbs. i feel too attached to her to leave her with someone else while we go on vacation. but now i don't know how to plan a nice vacation if we are bringing her. we originally wanted to go somewhere outside of the US but i wouldn't be able to bring milu if we did that. so i am thinking about going to FL for a week and than maybe NY? please help me plan a nice vacation!!!! it will be from july 20th ~ August 1st. any suggestions and what should i be thinking about? thank you!!!! |
Well we had a luxury cruise last year before Tia and this July we are going to a holiday cottage in this country. Tia is a year old next month and I am looking forward to the cottage with her in tow so much more then I did the cruise lol!:D I did compromise and say I don't mind going to Spain for a week in August ,obviously without her (lie lie)(sob sob):cry8: |

Sorry technical problems |
We usually rent a house or condo that is pet friendly. Florida has TONS. Depending on what you're budget is and what you are looking for, many there have their own screened pool. Just start googling. We've been to Florida, Isle of Palms, Tybee, Jersey Shore, Deleware, Michigan Lake front...etc with our babies. I don't even think about any other kind of vacation anymore. They are relaxed and happy and so are you! |

St. George Island St. George Island is 1 1/2 hours between Panama City, Florida and Tallahassee, Florida. It is also referred to as the Forgotten Coast. It is a beautiful stretch of beach that does not have resorts or chains or malls. It has privately owned homes that are offered through 2 or 3 different rental companies. The homes are beautiful, and the island is relaxing. Most importantly, many of the homes are pet friendly, and unlike many other Florida beaches....St. Georges Island beach is also pet friendly. So not only can your furkids come with you on vacation, they can also hang out at the beach!! |
you could go here and check any cities/areas that you're interested in too!:) Have fun!! DogFriendly.comŽ - Pet Travel Guides and City Guides for Dog/Pet Owners |
thank you for all your suggestions. i am excited. this will be milu's first vacation. i think she will have fun! all the new smells to sniff! :D |
We have used vrbo.com for the past 4 years when we travel. It's great as you have a wide assortment of places to rent and we haven't had a bad experience yet! Lots of places will welcome your pet. A GREAT way to have a vacation. I'll never stay in a hotel again after finding that site!! |
Yeah, how 'bout a condo on the beach? That'd be so relaxing. Will this be Milu's first flight? :D |

We just make sure that we stay places that are pet friendly when we travel and do some things that will allow our pets. Good luck and happy traveling! |

Panama City's dog beach allows dogs all hours with no lisence. There is also an outdoor shopping center nearby that allows your doggies. |
They just redid the Best Western on Fort myers beach ..its absolutely GORGEOUS! AND its right on the beach. Pets have to be under 25lbs and its 20$ per night for the pet. Pets are also allowed on this part of the beach...so bring milu's bathing suit!! |
