Bayli gets spayed tomorrow... please send prayers our way! I'm a nervous wreck! Although I was reassured by my vet that all the right precautions will be made. I've read a lot of threads on here about other pups being spayed and I have learned so much and feel much more confident about taking care of her afterwards (I love YT!). Please keeps her in your thoughts and prayers for a safe surgery and speedy recovery! |
I have one down and one to go. We'll be thinking of you. Good luck. Let us know how it goes. |
Good luck with Bayli tomorrow. She will be fine. I know what is is like to worry about them when they are getting spayed. It's scary I know. I will be thinking of your little one. Just try to remember not to pick her up by her underarms because that stretches her belly area. You have to pick her up kind of by the butt and under her chest. Kind of like scooping her up. She will be back to her old self in a day or two. Prayers going your way and great big get well hugs from Coco, Pebbles and Trixie.:ghug: |
Thanks so much, we appreciate the thoughts! Good luck with your next little one! And thanks for the advice about picking her up... I probably would've done that ! |
I will keep her in my prayers. |
Keeping you both in my prayers today. Please let us know when she is out of surgery. :) |
Prayers to guide the surgeon's hand, prayers for your peace, and prayers for a speedy recovery for Bayli are lifted up from Texas.... Love, Maggie :aimeeyork & Apple :) |
Im sending you guys prayers right now... |
Done! :) |
It's a very anxious time..but it'll be done and over with before you know it. And Bayli will be jumping around and giving kisses sooner than you think. Keeping her in my prayers....let us know how everything goes. |
Keeping you and sweet Bayli in my thoughts and prayers! |
I'll keep you both in my prayers. Any news from the doctor yet? |
Thanks again everyone, it means so much! Does anyone know what type of baby onesy should I get? I've seen some that button all the way down (I guess I could cut the feet out) or the kind that just button between the legs? They told me they would start about 11:30. I haven't heard anything about the bloodwork yet so that means it was okay, yay! They told me to call about 1:30 so I will update then. |
I'm sure Bayli will be fine...Muffin was spayed last Tue and I was a nervous wreck as well. The vet had called me to ask about my other shepard mix that also got spayed, I was afraid to answer the phone. Muffin did well. She was pretty much out of it until Wed evening, but she is back to her normal pack of dynamite...Prayers being sent your way Mom of Muffin, Lucy, and Daisy:animal-pa |
Glad to hear Muffin did okay!! My throat got all dry and my heart started beating really fast when I was calling to see if she was out yet... I'm crazy! They said she is doing good and all covered up in her blankie, I get to pick her up between 4-5 today. Thanks again for all the thoughts and prayers!!!! Ya'll are great! |
Awww...great news! Glad to hear all went well. Now it's just recovery time... |
I just picked Bayli up - she was so excited to see me and my mom! She walked a bit but still weak.... had a little water and is now resting. Found out she only weighs 3.8lbs ... I thought it was 5! haaha THANKS AGAIN SOOOOO MUCH!!! |

Roxy is 6.7 lbs & about 11" long from the neck to front of the tail. I had to get her the 8-12 lb size onsie for her. Others have been able to use the premie or newborn size. Depends on size of your dog. Roxy hasn't been at all interested in messing with her stitches... 7 days now. The onsie has worked like a charm. If weather had gotten warmer I would have cut a few circles in various places in the shirt part for a little more ventilation, but I don't think I'm going to need them now. You could also cut the sleeves off too. Thanks to whoever suggested the onsie! LUV it! |
Awwwww so glad Bayli is doing well! That is wonderful:) |
