FREE? yorkies?? Admin...this is NOT a "for sale" thread..... our local paper has several ads for yorkies...one I looked at said FREE! AND...they are advertised as tiny t-cups!! I didn't look at all the ads but the ones I looked at were no higher than 350.00...Something is SO wrong here. My Aunt called me yesterday and told me of a woman GIVING away 2 AKC "teacup" yorkie pups...So I thought!!! Why not?! there wasn't a phone number...just an e-mail so I e-mailed her...the e-mail came back to me as aborted (?) what ever that means...maybe it's the wrong e-mail? Anyway...I am going to try to get ahold of this woman and ask her alot of questions to see what she has to say....The FLAG for me was the "teacup"...These pups were in the paper for sale 2 weeks ago also....Like I said something is definitely wrong here...people don't just GIVE AKC or ANY yorkie away...If that's the case and they are all healthy why does she still have them? Something isn't sitting right with me here...I will let you know what I find out. |
they are scams |
I agree that something isn't right about this....keep us posted :) |
Something like free, but "you" pay the shipping, & then never see a pup. |

DON'T DO IT!!!! Right before i got honey a friend of mine found an ad that stated 100 euro yorkies being sold in Amsterdam. She was going to drive down but the guy wasnt going to be avaliable so they agreed on him shipping her. Now let me stop there a sec because i didnt get too involved but it totally looked legitimate! They copywrited the shipping company and everything! Ok moving onto the story... He "took her to the shipping agency" and she dealt solely w/ the shipping company from then on. at first they said she needed shots so that was another 150 euro.. so now we're at 250. Then they needed a sleep med when it reached england, another 50 euro, 300. Also while in england they needed insurence which was like another 300 or so. In the end she received an email from Frankfurt airport (Where the dog was supposta arrive) and it was "attacked by a dog and died". I'm not 100% sure what the pricing was but i do know she ended up spending like 1000 euro ( i know it doesnt add up...) In the end she also realized it was from Camaroon which is in africa. Threw me for a loop b/c neither one of us knew what that place was. It's so easy to fall for scams like that. Terrible really :(. I will NEVER ship a dog unless i ship it myself... Sad :( |

this is a scam. Forget about it and don't even bother. |
Those ads are always in our local newspaper . . .it always states 2 AKC Yorkies . . .and then an email address . . .then the add was switched up a bit with a different email address and then it stated 2 Free TEACUP AKC (male and female) to good home. It runs for about 2 weeks, then disappears . . .my sister emailed once and never heard anything back. She asked several questions knowing it was some sort of gimmick . . . |
I'm not looking to get one of these!! I am very happy with my 2 happy healthy furgirls....These adds were in our local paper....I knew as soon as my aunt told me about these that something was wrong,,,I ALWAYS say go with your gut and if it doesn't feel right DON'T DO IT! The first Flag for me was FREE AKC and "teacup"..I would NEVER fall into a trap like that...just wanted you all to see what kind of ploys people are putting out there. |

Free Yorkies These ads are also in Kijiji. I emailed them too, one was a missionary in Africa and the other in Cameroon. One in Petsads.com was in the Bronx and said if I sent the shipping cost he would send the puppy. Sure, and the moon is made of green cheese. Lila & Mia |
