A silk yorkie? I am right now corrosponding with a woman who has a 4 month old Yorkie baby . She needs to rehome her. The puppy was for her grandmother who can't take care of the pup. But, the woman is calling the pup a silk yorkie. She says the baby is AKC and has papers. What does she mean by silk yorkie? the coat being soft? The puppy is darling! I want to get her sooo badly .I have the yorkie fever. Can someone please help me? ;) |
If she is AKC she means silk as in coat texture not silky as another breed. AKC only registers pure breds |
Thank you :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: |

I wanted to recommend you get a vet check before committing. I was talking to a woman the other day who got two yorkies off of Craigslist for a few hundred dollars. They were beautiful - she had them with her - but she said they have cost her $4K in vet bills so far. |
Actually, if the pup has papers, hopefully she came from a breeder, and is still under that health guarantee? Is the breeder unable to take the dog back? |
this is a 4 month old baby. An uncle bought her for their grandmother . The grandmaother can't take care of the puppy. So they are looking for a new home. She is AKC regestered, 3lb, and they spent over a $1000 getting her . The uncle brought her from a different state. She is a doll . Her little ears don't stand up yet. She's been to the vet and has had her first set of vaccines . There is a couple coming to take a look at her tommorow . I sent the lady emails and she sent back, a few times. She is keeping me in mind, and knows that i'd be a great new owner for her puppy . I also gave her my phone number . There was anther person I was talking to who had a 14 month old female ,who needs to leave by Sunday. I also gave her my number. :aimeeyork |
Wow good luck on getting this precious one:aimeeyork |
Good luck. I do hope you vet the prospective dog thoroughly, because as you know, you will fall in love quickly, and a sick dog could bring you a lot of heartache. Sometimes people are hide the fact that the dog they are giving away is not well. I'm not saying this to discourage you, just trying to help you protect yourself before you are completely head over heels. For instance, I would ask where the uncle got this dog from, and if you can call her vet to verify that she is healthy. I do wish you the best. :) |
I got my yorkie and she was called a silk yorkie as well but she was a silky terrier X yorkie. |
