Separation Anxiety We just got our new little girl 4 weeks ago. She is 8 years old, and we got her from a lady who had her as a breeding dog, and my husband and I were recommended to her, as she wanted Abbie Faith to go to a loving home, and we were the ones. She has been a little angel, but the last couple of weeks, we work during the day, however, my husband works 5:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday/Tuesday';s and Thursdays. I work all day, we used to let her roam around but just lately she starting marking by urinating on the carpet. We put her in a more confined space with baby see threw doors, and each time my husband comes home she has peed on the linoleum, no big deal, however, we are trying to understand it. I say it's anxiety, because when we are home all day we take her out 4 times a day, and she never does in the house. Can you give me your insight? :animal36 |
Welcome to YT ! I think maybe you are right, the change to a new home might be part of it to, she might be afraid you are not going to come back home. I am sure other members will post you some great advice on this :) |
awww...she's probably getting used to you and I bet IS trying hard to not do that but I think they just can't help it sometimes - That's so great you brought her home with you and congratulations on your new baby ! |
New Forever Home Awww...you are so sweet to take a precious baby like that~ :) It sounds like she is just getting use to her new surroundings...She will learn her new routine...she will... Just keep being there for her and giving her your attention...I bet the accidents will stop when her confidence is built..and she knows she is truly HOME~ ;) |
