Didn't see your post last night and I too am so glad he is feeling better. I will keep him in my prayers. Hang in there !! |
1 Attachment(s) Thanks again, from the bottom of my heart, for all your well wishes. We got some more good news this morning - all the tests for cancer were negative. I just did not think it was cancer, but I knew that's what the docs thought. They are trying a different medication and it is given by an IV so he will have to stay in the hospital till at least Monday. That's OK though, as long as he feels better. My only problem is that little Rowdy is having to stay at home alone more than he ever has in his 7 months of life!!! I think my daughter will take him tomorrow, but today she has an open house with 20+ guests and although I know he would be the HIT of the party, I'm afraid he might get stepped on and I'm not sure how he would react to all those people without my husband or I being there with him. I'm home with him right now but I will go back to the hosp in a while and he will have to be by himself (well, my other dog, a 12 year old schnauzer is here) till I get back later this evening. So far, he has done great - but I do worry about him when I am gone. |
Coool! Rowdy has the same coloring as my little guy...His full name isn't "Sir Rowdy of Celts" is it? Ah, never mind, I see he's still a young un'. |
2 Attachment(s) I took some more pictures of Rowdy this afternoon and on my way back to the hospital to see my husband, I stopped at Walmart and printed them. then I got one of those plexiglass stand up frames and put one in it so it could sit on the bedside table. I put the rest of the pics in a little folder so that my husband could look at them (and show them off). He was so happy to see the pix - he had tears in his eyes. Someone on the board gave me the idea to show him the pix and I'm so glad that I did. Thanks! Oh, here's a couple of the pix I took to him |
Rowdy is so cute....how could his pictures not cheer up your hubby!!! I am glad it helped him to feel better!!! You and your husband are still in my prayers! |
Just saw your post about your husband .... I am so sorry, but thankful that he is better!! There's nothing like a sweet Yorkie like Rowdy to cheer him up! Will they let you bring him for a visit?? Would be worth asking about. My Patrick was in the hospital a few months ago and we found out the day he came home that I could have taken Toto in to visit!! I love this hospital! We will keep your husband, you & little Rowdy in our prayers. |
There are some hospitals that will let you bring your pets in for a visit - and those hospitals are very forward thinking because a pet visit can do a world of good. But unfortunately, this is not one of those hospitals. My husband is well enough to go to the outside porch area where I could bring Rowdy. If he has to stay for very much longer, we will do that so that he can see him. Both of them would benefit from seeing each other. :) |
1 Attachment(s) Here is your cutie pie! I hope your hubby is feels better soon! |

That is so great. Rowdy is adorable. I hope that your husband starts to feel better real soon. When my dad was sick and in the hospital. My mom took their Yorkie poo and had her groomed and snuck her into the hospital and she laid right besided of him with his hand on her and didn't move. It meant so much to both of them. Our pets are such a comfort to us. |

WOW! New Zealand - I sure WILL tell him!!! New Zealand is one place that both he and I have always wanted to see - it probably won't happen now, given the health problems that he has developed, but maybe........ He visited Australia many years ago and always wanted to go back, particularly to see New Zealand. Thanks so much for your encouraging words!!! :aimeeyork |
Annie Angel I am so sorry about your husband. I am praying for you all. Rowdy is so handsome. I know how my Annie Angel clung to me when my husband had surgery - they are very intitutive precious creatures and I don't know how they know when something is wrong, but they do and they make life so much better somehow. You are very blessed to have Rowdy. |
:rose: :rose: :rose: :rose: :rose: :rose: :rose: :rose: :rose: :rose: Sorry to hear about your husband, I'm sure it's very stressful. Rowdy is sticking to you because he can feel the stress too. We will keep you all in our prayers. I'm sure your husband loved the pictures! What a great idea! I hope he is able to be home soon. Make sure you take some time for you too. We want you to stay healthy! Hope you have a nice day! |
Hooooray! he's home today! We just got home a couple of hours ago after 12 days in the hospital. My husband had lung surgery and is sore and tired, but hopefully, this surgery will help him to be able to breathe better. He said to me just a few minutes ago that Rowdy had glue on his feet. I jumped up and ran over to examine his feet while saying, "how in the world did he get glue on his feet?" when I looked at my husband who was grinning. What he meant was Rowdy was sticking to him like glue. I put Rowdy's stairs by my husband's chair so that he can go up and down at will. Rowdy will get down for a minute or two, but then he is right back up on my husband's lap. You talk about the BEST MEDICINE, there's nothing like Yorkie medicine to perk you right up!!! My husband is just beaming!!! :D |
So glad he is home and being cared for by Dr. Rowdy!! |
