Mine like to roll their face and bodies on them! |
|
Mine also picks up cigarette butts on the sidewalks and eats them. I usually stop it just before she starts to swallow it. Cathy |

Oh, yes! It's disgusting! Kacee picks them up and I can't tell you how many I have pried out of her mouth! Yuk! I've learned to watch ahead of her as much as I can to try to steer her around them, but... |

My sister smokes out in the backyard very often. At first Ruby seemed very intrested in those butts but then she really forgot about them or so I have seen. I hope so also. Although I have already worned my sister that she better pick these up because they can be harmful to our furbabies. I have said if they get to one because she is reluctant to pick them up I will be very angry. I said " Pick your butts up or I wil kick your butt". |

Harley does that too! I have no clue why.. :eyebrow2: But once he actually jumped and colided head first right into my bf's mom right in the face bc he was trying to grab her lit cigg out of her hand!! Yikes! It was quite a shocker! :shocked7q He also trys to get into the ash trays! MAJOR YUCK! |

while you are on the subject of cigarettes... how about second hand smoke? I worry about that with mine. both me and my husband smoke. I watch where my smoke goes just as i do with humans but my husband does not. sometimes it is right in their face. and yes my ahia used to go for the butts also. she has grown out of that stage i think. There are so many on the streets and you do have to watch ahead of them to steer them away just as yorkieusa has said she does. Just makes you want to yell "HEY DUDE, IS THAT BIODEGRADABLE? IT GOES IN THE ASH TRAY NOT IN MY BABY'S MOUTH". |

The first yorkie that we had was addicted to nicotene(sp) at that time my husband smoked and whenever she found a butt she would eat what was left of the tobacco out of it. It use to totally gross me out. I don't remember if it made her sick or not. |

Stewie pulled my purse off my desk yesterday, opened a pack of Marlboro Lights and ate 16 cigarettes and broke the other 4. Then he threw them up. |

Awe! Poor Stewie! Is he ok???? Goodness gracious! |
|
I think he is. He's acting like his sneaky self. My vet wasn't concerned since he puked them up right away. Thanks for asking though :) I felt like a bad mommy since he got into them in the first place, but my purse was like 4 feet high and he jumped up! |

Yea it's just as harmful to them as it is to us.. Quote:

My father in law who has been staying with us smokes. We have him in a cute trailer in our back yeard. We were going to use it as a Pool house but we are trying to help him out. Anyway,,,,, He left his ash tray out and Gus went right for it. He got close enough to smell it and back off quickly. He hates cigarrete butts just as much as he hates sour skittles! |

Bailey doesn't seem to be into ciggs, but my BF cocker spaniel is, we will be outside, ( she can be off a leash, she will stay with us, unlike someone else.) anyhow you will look over at her and she'll have one hanging out of her mouth, This has happened so many times, You can't help but laugh, it looks like she hanging out, having a smoke! Might have to get her a patch.
