Have you ever upset your furbaby?

2 Attachment(s)
Talk about feeling guilty! Its a nice day today so I washed Tias favorite bear. Not a crime I know but the looks she was giving me when I hung him on the line was unreal!
She stood under the line and pined and pined for him.It was actually quite sweet.Ahh bless , I gave in and she just looked at teddy and covered him in kisses.I had to put him on the sun lounger to dry though as he was too wet to come indoors.I had plenty of time to take a pic as she was standing there for more than half an hour lol.
Has anyone else ever upset their furbaby and felt guilty?

LOL - I just took Belle's bully stick off her and she bit me...I would say that I upset her!

Mika can't stand me tidying his bed up, it really upsets him. :D

That's adorable! Gizmo just stands by the washer and dryer if I'm washing one of his favorite toys.

And he does throw little temper tantrums. It's like this little jump and a yelp at the same time. Too funny!

Gizmo Baby 05-30-2009 10:33 AM

Upset is an understatment lol I was washing salad for lunch and of course my 2 came running to see if I would give them some, so I cut up the stem part and gave them quite a few pieces. They begged for more so I told them it's enough go away go play with your toys, Stellina started barking at me then she went up on her hind legs and gave me a shove with her front ones and ran into her bed to salk lol.

We've had the cat since she was old enough to leave mom and she's about 4 years old now. We've only had our Yorkie less than a year and she just turned 5 years old. Our cat is indoors only but still gets a bath a few times a year and hates it. The last time I gave the dog a bath the cat laid in the doorway and just glared at me with squinted eyes the whole time. She doesn't even like us giving the dog a bath! Then our son was here last week playing with the cat on top of the buffet. She was sitting on the runner and he kept pulling it forward till she came right off the edge. He of course caught her and put her on the floor. Our Yorkie watched this and when the cat fell into his hands our Yorkie growled at him! They were afraid of eachother at first, then they learned to play together and now they try to protect eachother too. Yes, they get upset with us! lol

chachi 05-30-2009 11:31 AM

Jewels has gotten upset with me before because I took Chachi on a walk and not her. She sometimes hides when I go to put on her harness for some reason. Anyway I had to go because My Daughter walks home from school and I meet her half way. So I took Chachi and My Son said she barked the whole time I was gone.

Suzi gets very upset with me , if I don't take her out on the balcony, when I go too. SHe knows when I am there, and will bark and bark , scratch at the door , and carry on.
She also hates it , if I close my bedroom door on her, and she is not with me. She carries on, barking , scratching on the door. Suzi use to know how to push open the bathroom door , and come in whenever she pleased. We fixed the door , so she is not able to do that .

Uni feels like that too when we put away her toys. She's like "It took me DAYS to get all my stuff out like that!":D

sillyjacki 05-30-2009 03:41 PM

Roxy got incredibly mad at me the first time I cut her floor-length hair into a puppycut!! Wouldn't look at me for days!

She also refuses to kiss me when she's mad; I'll hold her up by my face and when I kiss at her, she turns her head the other way!!

delicatepuzzle 05-30-2009 03:44 PM

up to a few months ago ... I'd be able to say "NO" to this question. But I think my older one knows my little boy might stay with us (I'm a rescuer so my older one has seen other animals come and go... MAN oh MAN!!! He just KNOWS how to pull at mommy's heart strings. He gives me this look while the little one is biting his ears or something ... that says "really, do we HAVE to keep this one?"

Toby

My yorkie passed away almost a year ago. When he was alive he would bring over his bear or whatever toy he had at the time and would whine at you until you threw it. So after a while of this I would get annoyed and hide the toy. Which was dumb of me because he would know where it went. He would either sit and whine at the drawer or the bed or wherever the toy was.

We recently moved and when I was taking the bed apart there was his bear stuffed between the mattresses. There was an indent from the bear. It was sad. But it made me smile because I thought of him.

JoshieBoy 05-30-2009 10:35 PM

Your story is so cute. I have experience something similar with my dog. He loves to play fetch. He will drop the ball by my feet when he wants to play fetch. He might even bark at me or give me another toy if he thinks I am ignoring him. When he brings me another toy, it always makes me laugh. He thinks I do not want to play fetch, because I did not like the toy he gave me. If I decide I do not want to play fetch, I pick up all of his toys, so that he cannot give me another toy. Then he stares at the toys and whimpers. I give him a toy to play by himself until I am ready to play fetch. Our dogs just love their toys. It is so cute that our dogs live to be love, eat, and play with their toys. They live the simple life.
I love to look out the window to watch the birds. Sometimes, my dogs get upset when I do not let them look out the window. They tap my legs or the wall to tell me they want to look out the window with me. I like looking out the window with my pets.

Quiet

Harry is my quiet one.....he rarely barks or demands attention. Trevor on the other hand is VERY vocal, I swear he talks to me. The other day I saw Harry with Trevor huddled together, then the next thing Trevor was over growl talking to me in a very demanding way.....wouldn't stop. I got up to figure out what was going on......bottom line was Harry was thirsty and wanted an ice cube in his water.....go figure:aimeeyork:aimeeyork Harry sent Trevor over to tell me what he wanted

This makes me never want to hide toys again. Versace does the same thing. I kill all his squeekers but lately have decided to let him enjoy them. Now that I think of it, Versace used to have this frog, it was his favorite, but he chew on its butt so much the stitching became loose. So I threw it away while he wasn't looking and he spent the whole day looking for it. I got him a new one and at first he looked at it like "its just not the same" LOL needless to say he has hidden it from me this time LOL

RubyDuffield 05-31-2009 11:18 AM

Cute stories and so "Yorkie like". Winston gets mouthy at times, he tells me when he's mad, sad or upset. If I attempt to ignore him, he nudges me with his head. Sometimes I swear he's just too dang smart for his own good. Gotta love 'em!!!

QuickSilver 05-31-2009 05:52 PM

Lots of cute stories here! The pictures in the OP cracked me up. That is one hip teddy.

Attention seeker!

Marley will bark at you if you try to ignore her. like when i am on the computer. she has shoved me with her 2 wittle paws when I am cooking and won't give her a taste of whatever I am cooking.Or when she brings a toy to you and drops it at your side or feet. And the other day i was trying to act like I was sleeping on the couch while she was trying to play. I rolled over facing the back of the couch and albeit she used her one little paw, pawed at my face 2 times exactly, I opened my eyes, and she dropped her little ball right in front of my face. Tell me that isn't a dog who knows how to get your attention!
