Reply It's the same with my female! She tells me everything she needs. My male on the otherhand is still in training because he only squeaks (barks) when he wants to play! I guess by reading some of your replies it must be a yorkie thing Hahaha! |

My Maddie barks at me when she wants me to pick her up on the bed or sofa, she is small only 2.6lbs so i would rather her bark than try to jump, i dont want her to get hurt:Pawprint: |

Haha ... My Mike will bark at me to get my attention He likes to do this when he's on the bed ... it gets him closer and usually when I am sitting on the computer chair in the bedroom It's the closest chair to the bed If I want to converse with him I'll turn around and ask What do you want and he'll usually get all excited and wave a paw and Growl ... RAWF! and I'll say Well tell me ;) and we'll go down the list You wanna toy? You wanna play You want to eat? Doggy multiple choice :p |

My Tater gives me the raspy bark when he wants my attention. He does a little foot stomp with it as well and stares me down. It's so hilarious that something so little can be so demanding!! |

Ramsey does the same thing. The other night he followed me upstairs when I took the laundry basket up to our bedroom, which he knows is the last thing I do before going to bed. Pretty soon he disappeared and I could hear him barking downstairs. He was sitting in front of DH's recliner letting him know that it was time to go to bed. As soon as DH shut his laptop and got up, he quit barking. :) |
Cookie barks for things all the time. She barks for her ball, her food, to be picked up, to be let into a room etc. My daughters think its hilarious because I'll actiually ask her "What do you want?" Usually it's not hard to figure out, often times it's nothing more than her wanting her ring toy... as a mater of fact she's barking for something right now... I better go see what she wants:p |
Oh yes London barks at me all the time when she wants things...right now she was just barking at me, she was on my bed and she wanted me to go get her:rolleyes: Silly girl |
Hee hee this is a great thread! When Uni wants to play, she'll come up to me or my bf and slap us with her front paws and bark. If we try to grab her to sit on our lap (I'm always on the laptop, bf is always on the ps3) she will jump backwards, and bark again. That means "stop what you're doing and PLAY WITH ME!" At home, she loves to play with her toys at the top of the back of the couch, she will throw it on the ground, look at us and bark "SLAVE! PICK IT UP!" Other than that she's not much of a barker, more of a whiner! Hee hee. |
YEP, Curly barks to tell me stuff all the time. "I dropped my toy, pick it up", "feed me", "gimme some of yours too!" and besides that regular stuff...When Curly doesn't get her way, she stomps off while talking under her breath!!! I kid you not!!I tried to video tape it but you can't hear her on the tape. Seriously! Say she wants some people food we're eating. So she'll sit there and bark, just once. Then wait. Then bark again. Then I say, "no Curly!" and she'll put her head down and stomp away mad while making this funny little growling noise like she's pissed off! hahaha, cracks us up!!! |
My baby very seldom barks. I think that I have heard her bark maybe once or twice this whole week. The only time she barks is if she gets too excited, like if my nephew is running around with her and getting her going, she might let out a cute little yip. Or, when she's in her room (not at bedtime), and she wants to get out and go into the living room with me. Then, she might let out a couple of barks. That's still very seldom because I work from home, so she's next to me most of the day. |
