Would you get a tattoo of your Yorkie? I was watching those new Tattoo shows last night. I don't have a tattoo, but I have considered it, but I haven't really thought of anything that means that much to me, that I want it branded on my body forever,,(IMO),, But, I started thinking if someone could get a realistic drawing of Bailey,, that would be pretty cool, xcept I still dont know where I would get it at? I dont think it will ever happen, but I was just wondering if any of you would or maybe already have. |

I think it would be cool but I know I would never follow through with it. |

That's funny - when I got my tattoo (I have a flower design on my ankle), there were pictures of other tattoos that the artist had done all over the walls. There was a picture of a woman who had gotten pictures of her 2 cocker spaniels on her back (shoulder blade). At the time I thought it was crazy - but that was before I had my 2 dogs!! Now I think it's a cute idea! |

I am 43 years old and I have 2 tatoo's. I got both well into my 30's! I would get another if it were something significant in relation to who I am. For instance my name is Shelly so the one tatoo I have is of a sea shell. Shell get it? That is what only my Dad and my closest friends call me. The second one is of a purple 4 leaf clover with a little frog face in the center. My favorite grandma was Irish and her favorite color was purple and that's my favorite color also. The frog was just added for character. I would love to get something in regard to Teddy or my children or grandchildren but I just haven't gotten into the thought process to figure it out yet. |

i dunno if i could do that ..i love bentley..but i'm not sure i'd tattoo a yorkie on me! |

I've had Prince for about a year and he is the biggest part of my life. When I go away on trips, I miss him, not my parents, brother, fiance, only Prince. Sometimes I cry just by looking at him because he has made my life so fulfilling. He makes me so happy and has filled an empty space in my heart. I will definitely get his tattoo and when I do I'll try to paste a picture so that everyone can see it. It's a big decision, but someday when I get the guts I'll do it. I have my eyebrows tattooed but I didn't feel a thing because of the anesthesia. Regular tattoos are done with no anesthesia which is why I'm procrastinating. I do love my baby and know that he's worth being on my body forever. Nothing makes me smile more than seeing his adorable face. |

Ooooooh - WHAT a great idea ! lol...I could see it now and yes - I WOULD get a tat of the girls - I think you'd have to find a REALLY good artist to capture each yorkie personality ...can you imagine having them with you all the time ? I love it |

I have 2 tattoos right now and want more (they're addictive)! I told my husband when Maggie dies, I'll take her picture in and get a tattoo of her picture with her name. Now if I really do that or not is a different story! |

I agree w/ getting tattoos that really MEAN something. I don't like when people get those flash designs on the wall at tattoo shops. I'm not sure that I would get Stewie tattooed on me, because I would then HAVE to get my last dog, Midnite (RIP) I am grappling w/ the idea of getting this: http://mlb.imageg.net/graphics/produ...1654544reg.jpg but i don't know WHERE i would get it, and that's the biggest part of the deal IMO |

It's so funny that you said that - sometimes I stare at Biddy, and I totally tear up. I love Tucker to death, but for some reason looking at Biddy I start to cry! And I'm not even an emotional person! It's good to know that are others out there that feel the same thing... |

4 Attachment(s) I'll start by saying my wife is a sailor's daughter, and sailors love tattoos. Kelly got one of her macaw shortly after we got marrried. It was supposed to be pretty small. Hah. Then a beloved chiahuahua died at 5-years-old, and I had a cool picture of him running that Kelly always liked. So on goes the chiahuahua along with some grass and background and some branches on the macaw's tree to tie everything together. She's done for now, but she's been talking about adding Eddie since she got him. I made her wait at least a year to make sure he was healthy and "earned a spot" on what's left of her leg. Of course, Eddie is my favorite of all the pets (don't tell the bird), so I won't argue if she adds him. So take this as a warning, pet lovers. If you put one pet on your body, you're going to want to put all the beloved pets you own in your life. |

I am going to get Sammi's paw print tattoed on my foot...I gotta get her on the copymachine to get the print :) |

Yeah I'm not emotional either, but it's funny how these little guys can just make you so darn sensitive, huh. I think that you feel different types of love for your babies cuz I'm sure you love them both very much, but maybe Biddy makes your emotional side come out. I would probably get Prince's face around my heart cuz that's where he'll always be. I know that sounds cheesy. He is only 1 and a half years old and I've already decided that when he crosses the bridge I'm going to get him stuffed so that he can be with me forever. Selfish of me, huh. |

I have a tattoo of a sun around my belly.. and I have actually considered getting a tattoo of my two yorkies. I love them so much.. that I wouldn't mind having them on me forever! |

I have always wanted a tatoo but have been too chicken. I thought of getting little paw prints on my back to represent each pup, that would cut out the needing to get each picture done. |

I seen a 2 women with yorkie tattoos at the Tattoo expo last year. The one was very beautiful. It was on her upper arm, it was just the face of her Yorkie It was a really beautiful tattoo. The other lady had hers on her back. It was more cartoon looking. I didn't care for it at all! I would get one of Gus if I can find a very good artest to do it. I was thinking of having my tattoo guy draw me a picture of Gus to see how he would do but I think I have enough tattoos. And wouldn't know where to place it. |

This is so funny, that was my birthday present from my husband this year. I tatoo of one of my yorkies. My birthday was in June and I still haven't picked who is going to be on my body. This is going to be my third tatoo. But I better get busy deciding huh...??? |

Ooh, I just saw that episode of Miami Ink where the girl gets her beloved deceased Chi inked on her hip. It was beautiful artwork, but i don't think Id go rushing out to get Olivia tattooed on me. I do have a little butterfly on my hip, but it is down pretty low. Most of my friends dont know i even have it. I just dont want my tattoos to be exposed all the time. I firmly believe what they say is true about tattoos being a scar with a story. But I do admit that I have considered getting a dove to honor my younger brother John who passed away Feb 2004. Now I am thinking, John and I were together for 18 years, Olivia could live almost that long. So, maybe something to honor her. I like the idea of a paw print, but as for her face, I don't think I would. |

 To tattoo or not? Quote:
I agree, I decided a short time after Alex passed last year I would get a little tattoo to honor her memory. I decided that I would get a paw print tattoo with her name below it. I wouldn't get a picture tattoo. I am going to get it just below the pants line on the right side of my stomach. I have finally built up the courage to go, it has been more the pain and finality of her being gone more so then the pain of getting a tattoo. I have had several things peirced including my tongue for 6 years. So I am not scared for the pain but I could change my mind about the pain after it starts. |

I had never thought about it before...I have several tattoos but they were all things that i have designed on my own....I dont go for the flash stuff. I like "traditional" style so I dont think that i would do the "realistic" version on me (though I have seen several people that have them of their pets.) I guess I would do a cutsie one of of Gidget in the traditional style (my son got me a plastic yorkie doll (from the littlest pet shop...they are like litle bobble head animals) so that would be cute......But I have so many others that I want to do before that :P i just have no $ to go get everything that I want......kids and pups take up alot of your fun $ :P...if anyone gets one be sure to post :) |

I would absolutely get a tatoo my of dog, but i am too chicken!!! I am a wimp when it comes to pain. Who knows maybe one day i will get the courage to do it. I would have it done on my lower back, so i could cover it if i needed too. To the person with the pics attached (can't remember your name.. sorry ) , they are probably the best looking and real looking tatoo's i have ever seen. |
