Can you? Yes. Should you? No. Generally speaking the breedings should be no closer than aunt/nephew, uncle/neice. You should be very aware of the genetic backgrounds of the dogs. You are doubling up on the number of possible faults and it's best left up to the very experienced. |
Not a good idea. Not only will you double up on good qualities, but also the faults. It was and has been done by the very experienced breeders to establish their lines quickly. But, of course those of experience have taken alot of time to study genetics and breeding. Line breeding is what is more commonly practiced today. |
