Question regarding how my yorkie wil end up looking
 
First of all, I wanted to introduce myself, I'm Kevin and I've had a yorkie poo (bebe) for 8 months now and just recently got a baby male yorkie as a companion for her, they are brothers and sisters, but i have them seperated because they tend to play rough sometimes and the yorkie poo tends to get jealous of our baby yorkie because we hold her alot. anyhow, I just wanted to say I'm glad to be apart of the community :D


I have a 9 week old yorkie (Twix) and I was curious if some of the pros on the forum could distinct how a baby yorkie would look at around 9 months based on a photo at 9 weeks. heres a few photos. thanks in advance

I dont have any idea how he will look... I just thought i would tell you that you have 2 really cute pups! :) I will say tho that my yorkie is 9 weeks also and she looks a lot different from yours.... hmmm....

It's always so hard to tell really! I guess I'll just show you Jackson's differences...

Your 2 little furbabies are just so cute.
It really is hard to tell what he is going to look like.
What I do know is.......he is tooooo cute!!!!!

Welcome...Twix is such a cute, unique name!
I was wondering the same thing, it seems like for the first few months they all look so similar until their grown up coat comes in.

For a clue take a good look at the mother and father. Still, the combination of genes can give a whole new look and sometimes they favor one of the other more. My Sadie looked just like her father. Ben looks like a combination of his mother and father. He sort of got the best of both! You can also look through people's albums and see if anyone's puppy picture looks more like yours -- then look at how they have grown up. One of the many wonderful things about having a yorkie is the mysterious changes they go through in appearance. You can't know for sure, but after looking a so many, you come to see little things in puppies that you know will give corresponding features when they are adults.

Your pups are very cute! You can see here on YT that yorkies vary greatly. You can never really tell for sure what they'll look like full grown. Be prepared for their fur to change many many times. Here's pics of Uni when she was 12 weeks (first day we got her), then in her akward teen years, and now at 2 years. Don't be afraid when you have to cut off their black fur. It is a shock the first day!:eek:

Remember to trim the top third of the ears so they will stand up. There is a thread for pretty much anything yorkie on this site.:D

I have no idea what Twix will look like all grown up, but I just love the fact that Yorkies basically all start out looking alike and then grow into their own beautifully unique selves. Please post lots of pictures as your babies grow up so that we can enjoy it along with you. :)

Thanks for the comparison, very appreciated. It seems like you can never tell. I did notice only a couple of babies on the forum that looked very identical. I did not see the pups mom and dad in person, the breeder lived in another city about hour and half away from me, she did show me a few pics on her cellphone, but they were poor, I wasn't really able to distinguish features.

I named him Twix (the candy bar) because of his color variation and I wanted it to be short like bebe, but more of a "cool boy" name.. however my mom and gf still call him "Twixie" :(

Hi, I also have a question about how my 10-weeks-old puppy, Baby Boy Mojo, will look. Or actually, does he look like a yorkie puppy to you? :confused:

We adopted him yesterday, and saw both of his parents — they are indeed gorgeous with silky long coats. However, Mojo is a strange looking guy :eek: — one of the reasons we adopted him. He has a an elongated muzzle, and a long body. He almost seems like a mix of a dachshund and a Rottweiler, LOL.

Let me know what you think.

He's not strange looking, he's adorable! He def looks like he's at least part yorkie, his coloring. But the fur on this muzzle is a bit short, yorkie pups have very fluffy muzzles. But either way he's absolutely a doll!:D

Welcome to YT both your babies are beautiful. I think its hard to say if you look at the albums on here they all change so much. Here are a couple of Laddy. First one is 9 weeks (ignore the pink boy he's a boy :p) second is at 7 months. ( He had just had his bath and was very sleepy lol) I think your little one definately looks like a Yorkie.

i have a 5 month old boy and he looked EXACTLY like your baby at 9 weeks. i his face is lightening up as he is getting older. i have heard that it can take up to two years for their colors to completely evolve...so we'll see!!

So cute...quick question...how did you get your puppy's ears to stand up? Did you tape them or get them cut?

I shaved the top 3rd in an upside down V inside and out only took a few days and they popped up.
