At what age should I go clothes shopping for my little boy? I am loving all the little outfits for doggies,!!:p At what age can you start dressing them up?, I guess they have to be completely grown, otherwise it would only fit for a short amount of time huh?.. |
I got mine in the winter and I bought cheap teddy bear sweaters to wear. I waited untill they were grown for dog boutique clothes because they cost so much more that i didnt want them to outgrow them |
I started dressing Laya at 8 weeks when I got her. It was december so it was cold here. I just passed her outgrown clothes to other people with little dogs. Some I kept just for the memories. LOL:p |
I think a lot of people buy little onsies for premies and stuff like that. :) |

They are the little pjs that come in one piece, hence "onesie". I'm not sure how it works on a dog since they don't wear diapers :), but I know it's done. Also, I think you can buy tiny t-shirts. People buy them at places like Walmart so you don't break the bank buying things your pup won't wear forever. |
if you are just bringing your baby home then i suggest you make sweaters out of socks for him/her. Because they will grow out of them quick...here is a link to the website that shows you how to make doggies sweaters hehe Make: Online : HOW TO - Make a dog sweater from a sock |

Lacey's been wearing designer dress since the day she came home. But I make dog clothes.:D My baby hates being nakie now. |
Juicy started wearing clothes the day she came home. I wanted to get her use to the feeling of wearing them. Now she loves wearing clothes. |

I love the sock pic. I put little Bear sweaters on Mika over winter and he was only 8wks when I started. Its Summer here in the UK(joke) so I just leave him as I would hate for him to over heat. |
Here is the sock video I found, I thought it was the cutest thing..I going to buy a bunch of colorful socks, lol!! |

Your're welcome!..thanks to xxmxaxrxyxx for the idea!! |
I started dressing Chloe when I picked her up from the breeder. It was winter so I put a sweater on her and I had a little dress waiting for her at home. She was a little over a pound when we got her so very very tiny and I just bought doll making sweaters at the dollar store and WalMart for the first while since they were cheap. I did buy some splurges which only fit for a little while, but I couldn't help myself  A lot of her baby clothes still fit, actually...I mean they're too tight to wear for the most part, but even though she grew to be 4lbs she's still very petite. Some dogs hate clothes, but if you start them as a baby it'll be what they know. Chloe LOVES getting dressed, but she never minded it. If I grab an outfit she jumps around like a maniac and runs to the couch or bed and sits down. When I go to put something over her head she puts her head down for me and pops her own arms through the arm holes most of the time. If I leave a dress in her reach she'll bring it to me and growl at me with it in her mouth until I put it on her lol she hates to be naked  |
I recommend buying some inexpensive or used closed that will fit him now so you can get him used to wearing clothes. Just do'nt invest a lot of money now as he will surely outgrow everything! |
