Pictures that are too small won't show up as an attachment. You can either enlarge the picture, or post it as a link. Pink Yorkie To find the address for the link, just right click the little X where the picture should be, and select "properties" It will give you the address, copy that and paste it in the thread. I think someone who feels the need to do this to a Yorkie needs to find another creative outlet in life, don't Yorkies get enough attention without being pink?

WOW! I love pink and I love Yorkies..just dont think I like pink Yorkies. :)

First: The schnauzer haircut is hideous.

Second: I did open the link to the pink yorkie and while it is REALLY pink, I have seen some very cute dyed dogs. Again, dog dye is *harmless*. Dogs who don't like wearing clothes would probably prefer to be dyed since it is completely non-constrictive and dogs can't see most colors anyway. I've actually purchased some professional dog dye and absolutely plan to try it out on Thor at some point.

To anyone who thinks it's wrong to dye your dog, I would point out that plenty of other people think it's wrong to dress up dogs... and we know how wrong THEY are, don't we? ;)

Knowing me I will probably end up dying Dante's fur sometime in the future, when he grows up..if it isn't toxic, it would be fun to try, lol..it would have to be blue though..not pink! :D

WEll I honestly hate all of this hair dying > it looks hideous. The yorkie, and that cut :eek: Poor dog did not even look like much like a yorkie to me, a snoz ,yes or a yorkie mix , then dyed purple, :rolleyes: Then I saw the BRIGHT pink Yorkie, holly cow, now that was ugly. JMHO !
In LA, A woman has a shop ans sales hair WIGS for DOGS. colored hair wigs . and yes, they look absolutely ridiculous, silly and laughable. I feel sorry for the dogs, who the owners continue to find newer ways to embarass their cannine friends. ;)

I know you're being humorous, but seriously now ;) : why is a wig different from a dress? I'm not going to buy a wig for Thor, but that's one of the great things about dogs, they don't get embarassed about much!

Because that is our choice, not the dogs. I think it is cruel. Poor Bella is shaking like a leaf.

I'm not sure anyone said it's wrong, just that they didn't like it, or it looks stupid. While I think certain clothing looks adorable on certain dogs, I don't think it looks cute on all dogs; I still don't like to see big dogs in clothing, unless it's a Halloween contest. :D Let's not forget that clothing besides being cute is functional, so that's partly why it's popular, smaller breeds have a harder time regulating body temperature and clothing helps with this. Certain dogs look all right with hair coloring, the show, Groomer Has It, occasionally colored a dog, but it's just not a look I find appealing, and if it's owner wants to do it, fine, but they have to understand that some of us will think it looks stupid. While it may be safe, I see no reason to introduce something that could cause allergies, or skin problems, and yet has no real benefit. If it's something that someone really likes, though, I'd say go for it, just don't expect everyone else to like it too. I dress Joey first for him, then for myself, I don't really care if other like it or not. I'm sure some think he looks stupid.

True , they do not get embarassed at all :p Actually, when I had seen this on TV. All these dogs with wigs on, everyone was stopping and giving the dogs so much attention . I am certain the dogs loved it :cool: IMO I thought the dogs looked silly wearing pony tails , and blond hair, it was really goofy .

In your earlier post, you said "I think someone who feels the need to do this to a Yorkie needs to find another creative outlet in life." Someone else just called it "cruel". *I* am planning to do this to Thor. I would never dream of announcing that designer labels for dogs are stupid on this board, because I know I'd be criticizing other board members, maybe not by name, but in general.

If people thinks it looks silly or ugly or whatever, that's fine. We all have our personal taste. I have to roll my eyes when people try to justify their taste by saying it's potentially harmful to the dog. It's just like the article someone posted months ago: the article stated that clothing could potentially cause a dog to overheat, and everyone stated the obvious - if the dog gets too hot, take the clothes off.

I try to keep Thor's clothes functional, but if people want to go farther than that, it doesn't bother me and most of the time it's cute. I see a LOT of outfits on this board that have absolutely nothing to do with function and that's fine too. We all love our dogs and we'll find ways to express it.
