what was that theory? If the dogs eyes in a flash are red -- some type of coat and green is another kid of coat, I just noticed laci has redish eyes in a flash whats that mean? |
It's said to mean she's more likely to mean that she will have a cotton coat, with black/tan coloring. I guess Thor is the exception that proves the rule; his eyes flash orange most of the time, green other times, and he has a very lush, silver silky coat. |

The eye shine you see with a flash came has to do with something called the tapetum in the back of the eye. The reddish color that you see in human eyes is the reflection of the blood vessels in the back of the eye because the tapetum is NOT colored. This is the same in the "red eye" of the Yorkie. The blue and green you see in the Yorkie's are from a pigmentation in the tapetum. Quote:
