Does your yorkie throw up water? Katia has been throwing up water off an on for a few days. At first we thought she just got overexcited when I came home from work, but now she does it almost every time she drinks....what is this? she is eating normally and I've felt her throat, doesn't seem to be obstructed in any way...so I didn't think it was that serious.....but now I'm starting to worry. What should I do? |
Ruby did this today she is 6 months sha had just drank water and eaten and she was barking and abrking wanting out of her crate . When I went to get her out she had thrown-up alot of liquid and her food. I guess it was from all that barking and the stength of doing so. She had never done this before> needless to say she was a mess and I had to bathe her wright away. |
May be you should just give your vet a call and see what they say. We have never had this problem but I am interested in what the problem may be. |
Bentley does that if he drinks the water too fast! |
Mine have never done that. If it continues I would call the vet. It is probably nothing serious but it would be worth inquiring about. |
Do you think Katia might be doing this as a "game" to her? As in playing with water? I don't recall Yoda ever throwing up water, everything else, yes! |
Leah does this every time after a walk when she drinks water. I think it is because she drinks it to fast. But I took her to the vet as she every now and then just spends the whole night througing up. So she has tablets that I give her and she is much happier and I get to go to sleep. |
Tea Leaf did this when she would drink too fast then take off like crazy jumping and playing. So I put a very small amount of water in the bowl and held her for a couple minutes after drinking. No more problem. Now that she is past being a puppy, it hardly ever happens. Sure hope this works for you. If it doesn't, you'll have to have the vet check her. |
