Thank you for replying it is still a mystery to me because from the hundreds of posts I have read in the breeders section they say never breed a tiny 3 pound female. And when you are told about red flags that is one of the ones warned about. I personally if and when I decide I want to do this will never breed a female under 4 1/2 to 5 lbs as that is what most of the breeders I have spoken to recommend. I am glad you say you care for these puppies so well. I just felt I needed to ask the questions. Quote:

oh well! |
So glad to hear this sweet girl is going to a good home. I also was a little confused about the size of nlapp's babies because I was told a good breeder tries to breed to standard. Not judging here because I know absolutely nothing about breeding and am also a newbie to yorkies lol. JMO. :doghouse::dogprintsCharlene:dogprintsMama to Laddy and Lolita:dogprints:doghouse: |

2-lbs. If i didn't feel as though it was safe for them i would never breed them i measure there pelvises and every thing before i ever think about breeding them and i wait until they are at least 2yrs old and done growing and i myself am only 4'6 inches tall and i had 5 children myself who i love dearly maybe thats why i like the little ones there just like me what if they told me i was to small to have babies to love? I would be without children who are my greatest gift |
Ok at risk of getting yelled at I am sitting here and my mind is racing and won't rest so I am going to say this:p I appologize before hand if I offend anyone. I am in the process as lots of you know of adopting little Lolita who is 3.9lbs and was used as a breeder. She is now 5 years old and was rescued by Jen. She was spayed today and did well but at the time also had to have several teeth removed. IMO these tiny little girls should not be bred. It is just to hard on them. Our little male is 3.2lbs now and I cannot imagine ever breeding a little girl that size. It just boggles my mind. I talked to my vet about Lolo and she said that their little uterus and pelvis is generally way to small to be used as breeders. I think I will take her word for it. Again sorry if I offend and waiting to be yelled at. Its ok I can take it lol. |

If she wanted it to be strictly a "for sale" thread, she should have posted it there and followed the guidelines. |
