Simon&Hallie and their blanket issue Ok it's really my issue! I have a fear of being cold (maybe since I'm from Alaska) so whenever I see fleece blankets on sale I buy one (or 2 or 3). I have about 20! So my blanket fetish has found it's way to the monkeys, they have about 40 baby blankets b/c I now have a fear of them getting cold. I realized when I was shopping for my secret buddies that the first thing I purchased were baby blankets. hmmmm signs of a problem? Do your babies love their blankies? Simon and Hallie have one in every room and special sleeping blankets, bathing blankets, car blankets, and daycare blankets. Am I crazy? |
Drop the blanket and slowly back away....I think you should find a support group for this :p :lol tears |
I'm starting to do the same thing! I want them to have something to lay or snuggle on everywhere! |
LoL! How cute!!! I bet the monkeys love you for it!! |
Seriously I feel your pain! I personally have a lot of blankets/throws etc. and for my baby...well first I got her a baby blanket. Then I got another one of the exact same one, then 2 fleece blankets, and a couple other small ones. I can't seem to stop! I worry she won't be comfortable in her crate! |
Hawwie! Whatcha' doin'???????? I went walking wif da ovver two Wabs tonight! Wuv, Wexy :p |
Geez, now I feel like a bad mommie!!!! Luig has only 2 blankets!!!! One a fleece one and the other a satiny type blanky!!! Now I have to got to the store and buy some more!!!!! I better stock up for the winter!!! haha!!! |
I'm a blanket fiend too!!! And Rowdy has blankets EVERYWHERE! He even has one outside on the covered porch and he lays on it everytime he spends any time outside. Then there are blankets on the floor, one the couch, and everywhere he likes to be. For the first few months, he slept in his kennel, but my hubby wanted him to sleep with us so when we put him in our bed, he seemed happy, but he roamed around the bed, sleeping here there and yonder UNTIL I put his blanket from his kennel in the bed between our pillows and viola! he sleeps on it every night now. So, I guess I'm not the only one with the blanket fetish?!?! |
lol!!!! wow, alaska, did you live in an igloo??? ;) you should know by now that i'm kiddin, ok! |
Okay...let's talk blankies!! I am the same wya. I cannot resist a cuddly cozy blanket. They all have the tiny ones for the carriers and they are made out of the softest, plush (stuffed animal) fabric like the Oprah robes...you know... then they each have afleece blankie with their names embroidered on them from Cindy (chattie'smom from Just4Pups) and then they have their baby blankets from Target. i can always find a reason to buy another blanket. I scope them out for the dental office too as our patients are totally spoiled!! |
I raise all my babies on fleece from birth till the leave ( the leave with one as well) when they begin to walk its fun to see when I change the blanket they snuggle their sweet little noses into them...that fresh clean smell!! They love em!! |

I don't, but Yoda's Mommy does, Yoda has blankies everywhere, but of course he prefers our BED covers and my jacket as his favorite resting areas. :) |
I'm right there with you! Leah has a big box full of blankets (They have to match her outfit!) When she was little she use to shake so bad that she reminded me of the Wendy's Shake'n'dog. So she was wrapped up tightly in her blankets. All snuggly! :grin2: |

I guess I have to add my self to the addicted group also. special blankets in the truck, car, couch, floor in every room and special big soft pillows in all those places too. They love soft. so if it is soft ...it is theirs. story here....(sorry). One day last week on one of those rainy days Ahia & Buckeye got wet and cool. after coming back inside i let them air dry. It would have been easier for me to just blow them dry but I didn't. I was doing laundry and each time I emptied the dryer I brought the warm things in and put them on the couch where these 2 were trying to keep warm. (keep in mind it is hot here this time of year). I had the couch full of sheets and towels. each time these things cooled off i would put them back in the dryer to warm them back up. I just can't stand to see them shiver even when it is 100 degrees out side. I of course had to wash and dry every thing all over again. They sure got me wrapped around their little paws. |
I too am addicted to blankets for myself, blankets and bowls. My mom used to make blankets for us so that's where it started and now I make them for everyone as gifts. When Reagan was little she would lay beside the couch on the floor (there is a blanket that hangs over the arm of the couch halfway down to the floor and so she's in a little cave kinda). Well anyway I stuck a fleece blanket down for her to lie on and that started it all. Now she will only lay on on a blanket of piece of clothing or something but there's no way she's touching the carpet. I'm surprised she doesn't make me cover the carpet so she can walk to the kitchen to eat or to the front door to go out. |
