Sal is finally back home and has a problem My sister brought me back Sal yesterday. She has been taken care of him since I have been going through my cancer treatment. I spoke to my doctor last week and he said that there is no new growth and it is shrinking. So I call my sister to return Sal to me. The only problem is that she shaved him down and he cries all the time. What do I do about the crying? Sal wants to be held all the time now and when we place him down he start crying. Will this ever stop? It drive me crazy!! |
Cathy, do you think Maybe Sal is just reacting to you being sick... I got laci during my radiation treatments and when I came home and felt like crap she would cry and dig at my hips where I had the radiation.... Maybe he knows you are not feeling well and is feeling badly? I know that my dog can sense when I am not feeling well, I actually got her because I was very depressed from my cancer treatments... I know on days where I dont feel so well she acts differently. I had a biopsy done last week and felt aweful when I got home she layed on my belly and sort of cried and wimpered... I just think they know:confused: |
Could he be cold or chilled? |

you are all lucky b/c my little spoiled bably acts up when i'm sick. he KNOWS he can get away with anything! |
Glad to hear you are getting a good word on your cancer! Maybe he/she is reacting to the change that was in it's life also. The poor thing. If they could only talk!!! |
I'm so happy for you, that you are responding to your treatments...I, honestly, think dogs have a second sense about illness, and because he loves you, he's sad that you aren't 100%...I think you probably need to reassure him everything is o.k., and actually tell him it's all o.k. OUTLOUD in a matter of fact voice...I'd even go so far as to ask him what's all the fuss about...He probably missed you, while your sister had him, and he's also letting you know he doesn't want you to leave him...Who knows, he might be a little torqued at getting shaved...I'll say a little prayer for you and Sal...I, totally, believe God hears our prayers, even if it's about our little dogs being upset...Let us know how you are doing, and also how little Sal is doing too...
