Thank God they were not seriously hurt and Rudy will be ok. With 3 I can't walk them as I couldn't get all 3 up quick enough in an emergency and unfortunately some people aren't careful with their big dogs.

How scary! I'm glad your hubby and babies are ok! Good thing you have such a quick thinking hubby!

Thanks for posting the info about that Muzzle mace!! I had never heard of it, and recently saw a young person walking a pitty in my neighbor hood, not sure if they live around here. Even though our yard is all fenced in 6 foot fence, I still get paranoid seeing these kinds of dogs

That is soooooooooooooooooo scary!!! Thank goodness your little guy is going to be ok and hubby to. I would be shaking for days if that happened. Its good taht the owners are doing the necessary steps to not have that happen again :)

I have 2 yorkies and I have stopped walking them in my neighborhood because of incidents with dogs both big and small unleashed

We have this same issue. I cannot make our neighbor understand that he should have his well-over-100-pound dog on a leash. The dog has come bolting out of their opened garage across the street at my dogs. He doesn't even apologize...he just says "he isn't doing anything..he doesn't need a leash." I shouldn't have to check out my window or worry about whats up ahead around the corner when I walk my dogs in my own neighborhood! There are leash laws in our city and he is violating our Home Owners Assoc rules as well (they've sent him two letters). He absolutely does not care. I guess he is above the law (and all common sense).

Yipes! Sometimes I swear Cookie is a magnet for big dogs, they always come running towards her. Thankfully everysingle one of them has been friendly and just want to play but I always snatch her up in arms. She doesn't like them at all, while she wants to greet them when she first glimpses them far far away but once they show up and are ten times her size she crouches down scared. I'll have to look into that dog mace, it sounds like it could be really helpful.
