how do they know its feeding time Ok what i mean by this is i could b doing something like reading or housework & come 3.30 ruby will run 2 the kitchen & act weird & as soon as i say din, dins she jumps around but i think its quite funny how she know's . I don't feed her the same time every day but she just know's its 3.30 its like she's telling me, come on & feed me:aimeeyork |
I ask the same question, if I am more than 5 minutes past their feeding time they let me know!!! |
I think they somehow learn to tell time. : ) My sister has a Golden Ret who has siezures & takes medicine 2x day. She doesn't have to worry about remembering to give it because the dog will just stand and look at her relentlessly at the proper time until she gives him his meds. Too funny! It's spooky how smart animals are sometimes. |
They have a very accurate biological clock. Our horses do to. I can tell time by watching where they are in the pasture. |

We had a yorkie on nerve pills and she always let me know when it was time.. it was all pretty amazing to me back then...and I am always learning today about these little furbutts...treat time is also reminded to me.. for it is the same time pretty much daily... if one does not let me know.. another one will... anne |
LOL, it seems like they even auto adjust for daylight savings time! |
Sometimes I stall a little bit just to see her "chew me out" for being a few minutes late. So indignant! Just cracks me up! does a little bull charging action with her back legs. (Know what I mean?) Like she is gonna charge at me if I don't get with it!! |
mine don't do the feeding thing but they both let me know that it is time for their nightly walk....usually they are about 7 minutes ahead of schedule and they sit and look at you until you do something to hint you know it's time such as sliding on shoes or grabbing the leash then it's on like donkey kong! |
