Temperament at the vet? I just brought little Owen to the vet today to get his 3rd vaccination. He was surprisingly very well behaved there. How are all your little doggies at the vet? |
Sometimes shaky and very wiggly. |
Little Kayla pants until it scares me. She gets soooo upset. When we start home though she is fine. Its old hat for Tina and Lexi does real well too. |
bree loves the vet and flirts with him and gives him kisses :p bentley is a wiggle worm and even more so at the vet lol ;) miss buffey is an angel like she always is but does get a little timid but not too bad :D |
Mine are really good at the vets and the vet always remarks about it. So does the groomer. Chachi used to be really scared of the vets when he was 1 because he was there alot getting mange treatment. We would have to turn his crate upside down to get him out of it |
Tia actually dont mind the vet, its after all someone different to stroke her lol.saying that the last visit was her kennel cough vaccine (not pleasant up the nose job) so not sure how her next visit will go lol |
Mine are fine while they are in my arms, but once they go on the talbe, they start to get wiggly. Sometimes I have to hide behind the vet or tech so they can do what they have to with them. lol. |
My Tater shakes like a leaf. He was abandoned at a vet's office (that's how he came to me) so I think he still has memories of that even though they say dogs leave that stuff behind. He will sneak in a kiss to the vet every now and then like "please don't hurt me". |
Mine both shake like a leaf nonstop and do a lot of panting. They get so stressed out. I wonder if it's because I left them there for their spay surgeries and they remember that. I feel bad for how stressed they get. My vet is very nice and gentle with them, but they are still so scared. |
Nolee refuses to walk in the door! I have to pick him up to get him inside. Once inside, he shakes like a leaf, till we are done! It is so sad!:( |
Daisy always shakes & tries to cling to me when I take her to the vet. This is the only time she ever does this. She usually loves everybody and will jump right into their arms & give them kisses, but not at the Vet!!! She is like a child getting ready to go the doctor! haha Once we are back in the car, she is completely fine. |
We love our Dr. Amy We love Dr. Amy. Generally we get through the entire exam without so much as a whimper -- they usually don't even notice the injections 'cause Dr. Amy is so good at what she does AND she always uses baby needles. Here is a video -- I know I have posted it before, but this is how a typical puppy vet visit starts for us :) |
Great video, its nice to have a vet you can trust.:D |
they all act differently it depends on how they are raised and socialized from the beginning ones who are handled and introduced to many different people and places always do much better then ones who stay at home and are only use to their owners and arent use to many other people and strange places they dont get as scared and nervous |
Our little puppy is so well-behaved we are amazed! She lets out a dainty little yelp when the shot is given but that's it. In fact, that's the only time we've seen her act dainty...LOL We've decided we have one who can be a terror at home but really knows how to "put it on" in a social setting. You could never imagine the big girl bark we hear when she's displeased with us when you hear this teeny whimper at the shot. She's the sweet little baby everyone wants to hold and cuddle while we are there but she thinks she's the household "bad-to-the-bone" large-and-in-charge dog when she's home...all 4 pounds of her! |
