Adie had a nightmare! I think Adie had a nightmare last night. I woke up to what I thought was the dogs wrestling at the foot of the bed. When I sat up I realized that it was just Adie and Skeeter was still sleeping where my knees bend. I said her name and she started acting like she wanted to come to me but her paw was stuck to the sheets. When I touched her she started crawling toward me like she was afraid of falling off the bed. I picked her up and she was shaking like a leaf. I held her for a couple of minutes then laid back down with her cuddled in front of me. She quit shaking pretty fast but then crawled up and tried to sleep on my head! That didn't work at all so she settled for wrapping herself around my head. She was still there later when I got up to potty but she went back to sleeping on my side (her usual spot) when I came back to bed. My shih tzu dreams and howls in her sleep a lot but I've never seen Adie do anything but run a little and bark in her sleep! |
Poor baby. Hope you have sweet dreams from now on. |
Poor baby! I hope her dreams are better tonight! |
Awwww poor Adie. You can't help but wonder what they do think about in their dreams. I hope a big dog was not chasing her:( Glad Mommy woke up to comfort her. |
aww, don't you just hate it when they get scared like that. My sweet Annie seemed to have bad dreams a lot when I first got her. She was a rescued breeder from a puppy mill and it just broke my heart to think that what she had to endure was still seeping into her life. Fortunately, they happened less and less the longer she was with me. But don't you wonder, good dreams or bad, do they dream like us? Do they see, hear, talk, experience sensations like we do in dreams? I'd love to know what really goes on in their little heads. How do the really perceive things that happen during the day, how do they dream? hmmm  Glad you were there to give her comfort so that she could go back to sleep. :) |
