change of sleep habits? Abbey is 9 months and always LOVED going to her crate for bedtime. After she eats dinner..we walk her..play with her..dont allow any food or water and she usually goes to bed at 830p and sleeps all night, this might have nothing to do with it but Im needing answers! My hubby is away and he put his pillowcase in her crate before he left. that night she woke at 3am.4am.5am.6am...always took her out ..sometime she potty sometime not. well she did this again last night.at 3am the barking was making me lose my mind! took her out and she wanted to play..for the 1 st time I put her in bed with me..where she slept till 9am so my question..why is she waking wee hrs? I really dont want her sleeping with us..as we have cats too that like to wander in our room and wont with Abbey around. thanks for any suggestions |
It probably is the fact that your DH is gone. A change in the routine can make these young ones a bit anxious sometimes. I'd take away the pillowcase and try to spend a little more time wearing her out in the evening. Good Luck, hope hubby comes home soon! ;) |
try not to let her sleep in your bed, i gave in and let milu sleep in my bed when she was a puppy, now she always wants to sleep in the bed with me every night and if i don't let her she just cries... i agree that play with her more to make her tired before bedtime should help. good luck! :D |
8:30pm? I tend to think you are putting her to bed too early. Our Samson would never be able to go to sleep that early, and especially not for the entire night. That's just way too early and he has energy to burn off. Why are you putting Abby in her crate at that time? |
