I think Tia thinks shes a cat! When visiting my sister her cat was sitting at the front door and not being the most friendliest of cats (her words not mine)towards her 3 dogs ,just sat there looking at us. Well Tia hadnt met a cat before and she just wiggled her bum and started to lick the cats face! The cat named Tom just let her do it and didnt move at all.
Anyway walking to the vet the other day we passed a cat sitting in its gate way. It raised its back up and Tia saw it and started to wag her bum at it and wanted to say hello but I pulled her away and the darn cat started to follow us. It was so embarassing this cat followed us about 50yards down the street and Tia just wanted to greet it lol I surpose Id rather her be friendly towards them as opposed to chasing them as I do love cats.:D
Does anyone else's yorkie have strange encounters with cats ?

My Charlie adores my daughter's cat. They are the best playmates, you would think that they are hurting each other when they play as they really rough house. But the cat instigates things most of the time and poor Charlie has to suffer thru not being able to reach her when she's had enough as she jumps up on anything high enough to stay out of his reach...then she swipes at him when he jumps up at her...lol

Cleo loves my cats, one in particular. Abu (the cat) is still somewhat young (a little over 1) and he will tackle Cleo out of no where. Then Cleo will chase him around the house and give him a tackle. I should try and get a video because it is really funny!

Mine only tolerate our cat Mittens any strange cats they will bark at or chase away. They wont play with Mittens either she trys and they just wont

I think that Abu thinks he is a dog, since my 2 big dogs accepted him into the family before the other cats did. He would lay with them and try and play with them when he was a kitten. Then once he realized he was a lot smaller than them he kinda started hanging with the other cats. Now that we have Cleo it is like the best of both worlds for him....she is small like a cat but has the right personality to play with him!

My cats are still young, so they LOVE Couver. They of course have a way to get up and away from him if he gets too irritating.

I think that introducing a kitten would be a good idea. It is important for them to grow up together so that they understand eachother...

I have posted these on here before... But here is evidence of their relationship :p

1. Lying in bed with his best buds.
2. Playing with his brother Tiger.
3. Wrestling with his other brother Beau.
4. Riding in the car with Tiger.

Ive had my yorkie for 2 weeks and I have 3 cats and he loves them. He cant sleep if one of them isnt in he room and they play chase each other. It is the funniest thing to see when by 15 lb cat chases him one way and then he turns around and chases him in the other direction!:animal36

ruby& sky love tom when i let him in after he's been out they don't leave him alone.But when a cat is in our garden ruby go's mad & sky barks. PS yorkiemad is my sis:aimeeyork

I have a 22lb Maine Coon boy...he was here LONG before the girls...They do not like him at all!!! Poor boy...all we have to do is say his name and they go after him. THANK GOD he doesn't fight back...he could do a number on them..He has batted them a couple of times...you would think that this would make them leave him alone...it doesn't! It just gets them going after him even more...I have had to separate them a few times. I don't understand this at all...like I said..he was here first.
