I have a Bella ..... I call her Bella Mia or sometimes BellaBoo I also had an Emma (my beloved Bichon Frise - she passed last June I know the name will come to you....so be patient! Enjoy the process and I can't wait to know what you finally decide on 3 weeks from now. |
I chose Noelle because she was born around Christmas time. But other girl names I like are Chantal, Raquel(which would have been my first choice if she hadn't been a December baby :)), and Gabriella. Have fun choosing. You'll know what to name her when you spend a few hours with her. |
I like the name suggestions above. A few more for you: Annabelle Arabella Alexis Blair Bear :p Devon Dylan Kylie Lily Peony London Sydney |
i really like piper. and sticking with the sarah palin theme, i think bristol is cute too :) and i think one of your originals was laney? which i already suggested this but i like Delaney too :) ps. kami is a good one too! my daughters name is Camryn and we call her Cami;) |

If/when I get another yorkie, I like the names Lola, Lulu or Lily. That way they go with my male yorkie Louis. I love people names on dogs. |
Sarah would be cute:) |
With past experience I find waiting until I get an animal or child before naming works out best so that I can fit the personality to the name and face but I totally understand you wanting to get her to know her name before she gets home....so, I always try to pick a name that fits looks and personality but also one that has meaning! I chose Ksena because it means praise to God and I felt like I was praying each time I would say it....My daughter picked Jonah because on the way home he was whimpering and she said.."be brave Jonah"...Jonah was afraid to go to Nineveh...anyway, it depends on what's most important to you: meaning, personality and looks to fit...like when I got Ernie, we had no name but after 3 days of my husband complaining about how ugly he was he said as a joke, call him Ernie-he said it sarcastically but I looked at him and was like hahahahaha...I think I will!!! Your baby looks too cute to give her a goofy name so I'm thinking cute and sweet, maybe a little delicate....hmmmm, like Lola....thinking, cutest name ever for the cutest puppy ever....they are cute, anyway, does the meaning have any impact on your decision? I named my daughter Sophia because it meant wisdom....my son, Ray, after his father means king or something similar.....do you know what her personality is like? Lola is pretty and cute...it'll match a puppy and adult...Sabina is spunky....Something will pop out at you...I hope I was a little help? |
Thanks for all your help. I do like Lola I have actually played with that one too. And Barbiesbabyjada how in the world did you think of all those. Haha thanks I am adding them to my list. Meaning isnt a huge issue for me but it'd be cool if I found a name with a cool meaning. Esme I like and it means loved, which she will be of course. And Keely means beautiful... I dont know! keep the names coming I love reading your ideas. |
I think you have to have them for a little while to see what fits...The breeder named Apple, because her face was like a golden apple...I tried to switch it, but just couldn't...I also thought about kiwi, because it's a small sweet fruit...Then I thought moxie was a good name, because she has more moxie than any other dog I've ever had! BTW, I think the reason people like names that end w/an e or i, is because you are smiling at the end of their name...you know, like kiwi, or moxie...think about it, your face is in a smile when you finish saying it lol...However, I couldn't get off the name of Apple, so Apple it is....However, I have a gazillion nick names for her, based on what's going on...like doodlebug, missy, my little boo boo (lol) and I'm sure there are more, but it's late, and my brain is going to sleep...But I sure wouldn't worry about your baby not knowing her name, when you get her, 'cause they always do, after a few days.... Maggie:) & Apple:aimeeyork |
I love the name Tilly :-) |
