Mia smells like Frito Corn chips...
 
I bathed Mia last night and she smelled great. Like the ginger shampoo I use. When she was dry she started smelling like corn chips....She didn't go anywhere. She was in the house the whole time.
The whole reason Ibathed her, (the second time since this weekend) She was itching, itching, itching. I thought maybe she got into something. could it be her food? I heard Corn isn't good.

i literally LOL'd when i read this.

sometimes my kids get this smell too. usually right before bath days and like the other posters said, it is usually their feet.

i just think it is sooo funny - who would ever think our precious babies would ever smell like fritos??? ;) :D

No it was her fur.... Really weird. I feed her Science diet small breed puppy. The first ingredient is corn. I heard of three dogs since I have gotten her that are allergic to corn. :confused:

Tee Hee... I don't smell my kids. I just make them take a bath before I start to smell them. Mia is always around my face so it's hard not to smell her.

:lol tears Who else but Yorkie owners would even be smelling their dogs feet and would know this. :grin2::grin2:

Yep it's feet. All my girls feet smell like Fri-toes. And usually if they lay their face on their paws like all mine do then their face smells like toes too. :eek:

my little guy doesnt usually smell like corn chips, but my toy poodle does all the time. :)

Science Diet is not a high quality food, I don't know why all the vet's office has em stocked up. Some dogs are highly allergic to corn. I think you should consider switching to a premium dog food.
Sometimes Mimi & Momo's paws smell like Fritos...then it's time for a bath.:D

Isn't it FANTASTIC! I love the Yorkie Frito feet. My boxer doesn't have that delicious foot smell. I love it :)

Science Diet isn't the best food out there..... there are several high quality brands of Kibble. Sounds like you have made a start, and i would encourage you to continue learning about the various dog foods and the manufacturing plants where they are produced.

OMG! I am so glad I am not the only one in the world that thinks my girls feet smell like corn chips. I told my DH this one day and he told me to keep that one too myself if I didn't want people to think I was totally bonkers.

HAHA I remember reading old threads that talked about the frito feet!! Im glad my boys do not have that smell, I be craving Fritos all the time!!! LOL

Any one have any suggestions on a good quality "premium" dog food. I did get this food from the vet. I guess there might be a trust issue here. I have also tried Iams. (she won't eat it) I don't like to give her wet food because then she won't eat the kibble. :rolleyes:

Oh and the feet smelling thing..... Their little paws are so darn cute how can you not kiss them....Mia hates it when I play with her paws.:animal-pa

I feed Taste of the Wild. My boys love it and my mom switched over to it with her 2 dogs and they LOVE it too.... they are the pickiest eaters! Its all natural, holistic food and I find it cheaper than Iams or other lower quality foods believe it or not. I pay under $10 for a 5lb bag! I was paying $18 at one point for Eukanuba Yorkie food 5lb bag!
