Hi Linda, If you get the family of Yorkies, I would be able to adopt one of the female pups. So don't worry if they all don't sell. I'm sure others on YT would love to adopt one too! This whole story has captured many hearts. I hope you here from the Father soon. If not, I'd call him. If you need help, I'm willing to help any way I can. Just let me know...Jodi:) |

OMG!! How sad this situation is. This entire thread just confirms what I tell just about every new person to yorkie talk. That there are a lot of very caring people on this site!!! I am so glad to be a member here. The support and love that is shown here is so unbelievable. Thank you all so much!!!!! |

Update Any updates? I just read the thread. I'd love to help out. I think I could come up with $2,000 and drive down there to get them. They need to be somewhere when they can be taken care of. Let me know if you guys hear anything. |
Okay, I just got off the phone with the dad. He said the mom and babies are with a family friend right now. He said that someone was supposed to be coming out to look at them today, and he'd give me a call to let me know what's going on after he heard from the family friend, or he'd have her call me. So, we'll see. If I hear anything, I'll post the news. He said the tails were docked and dew claws removed. He also said the asking price was "substantially lower," though he didn't give me a figure and I didn't make an offer or anything. I'll wait to hear back. But, I would be totally willing to take a trip to LA and make sure it's legit and bring them home. He did give me the same story about working off shore, his wife passing, etc. So, it sounds legitimate... |

DANG! He called back while the family was at church and said he'd call back tomorrow mid-morning on the message. But, he did say that there were 5 females and 2 males in the litter. I'll update everyone tomorrow, I guess. I was talking to my dad, and he was fairly concerned about how the mom would do in a new environment with her pups being so young. Of course, at this point, they are in a foreign environment anyway. Has anyone had experience with moving a mom so soon after whelping? |

I posted before that I would help in any way I can, including a Yorkie Train. I would also be willing to contribute money for this little family. I would help one of our members be able to take this mother and her babies. I can't stand the thought of them going to the wrong kind of people. |
Update! I just got a message from Sarah (WalnutHill). She spoke with the dad. A lady that checked on the mom and litter yesterday, is coming back today to either look at them again or get them, he wasn't clear. He is going to call her at 6:30 tonight to let her know either way. Hopefully this little yorkie mom and her babies will have a secure home very soon. :) |
Where are these Yorkies located? This may have been in one of the threads...I may have just overlooked it. |
In Louisiana, near Alexandria. A little summary....the ad was in the paper, I called, talked with a son. His mother had died the day the babies were born. The son, dad and another son all works off shore, overseas. I posted the ad on this board, and well.....you know the rest. We're trying desperately to find a home for this yorkie family.:D |

it would be nice if they found a home for the litter. Great to see so many warm hearts in this site to turn up for caring the babies, however, it is amazing to learn if they finally find a home. |

Update! Update! I just spoke with the dad that had the female and 7 babies. They did go to a home all together! (Of course they would, they're 7 days old, duh! :D) Anyway, he assured me he met with the lady, went to her house and feels very comfortable with her. He was on the road when I talked to him, but he told me if I call him back tomorrow he'll give me her number so I can check up on them. At least I could see if she needs help and if she doesn't already know, tell her about YT. So, thanks to all ...Betty, Sherry & Sarah and everyone else, for all the interest in well being for this little yorkie family. Poor guy, he's still in shock over loosing his wife. I think he said he does still have the dad of the babies, but a son is going to take him. If I find out any more info, I'll be sure to post. Hugs to all! What wonderful news!!! Thank you so much for the update ... I couldn't get that poor little Mom off my mind. I am so happy that he found someone that he approved of for her and her babies. :thumbup::thumbup: She has been through so much .... you gotta know that she is missing her owner on top of everything else. |

Wow what wonderful news ... I just hope the new owner is not a puppy mill or something ... You said you had her phone #? ... Hate to think she'd use the momma and baby girls that way ... I know, I'm being a pessimist ... just would be awful if we didn't follow through and found out later. |
