| KimberlySRN | 04-29-2009 10:19 AM | I cried today... We did it!! A while back I posted on a thread that there was a pet shop that was taking terrible care of animals. They had a skinny little yorkie girl that I wish I could have rescued. I called many places and I felt like I was getting no where. Well I guess there is a new law in Ca that shops that have animals for sale have to abide by strict guidelines for the care of animals. I have not looked it up yet but I will. I was told they had to have them get checked to often among other things that were "ridiculous". So they no longer carry animals!!!! I am so happy. This place had tons and tons of animals that were crammed in cages! The person told me how ridiculous it was and I told her, well that is really great!! Less puppy mill puppies being sold and if places decide to sell they will get healthier pups or pay it all in vet bills. She gave me an ugly face and I left with the biggest smile ever.
I also looked at another place that sold animals and they no longer do either. (they were known for puppy mills puppies)
So I am thrilled, little by little change is coming. :) |
