Behavior - Potty Issues I have recently started dating someone, and my dog, Chloe, seems to have potty issues inside the house whenever my new boyfriend is around. Any suggestions on how to improve Chloe's behavioral potty issues? |
Hmm.. never heard of this one. Does she "like" your boyfriend or act like she likes him? Or is she very timid, nervous, won't get near him, etc? Because if she's not big on him, she is probably peeing out of being scared or being angry. Try to get your boyfriend to do everything for her. So she looks at him as another alpha dominant figure. Let him feed her, give her treats, play with her, all good things! |
Hmmmm....sounds to me like someone might be jealous. Perhaps if the BF makes her feel like the special one in the house, the potty issues might stoop. Especially if there's never been any in house potty issue before the BF? For the most part my Sophie does pretty good in the house and not going inside. But sure as sugar if I have to pen her up too long during the day, or I've not given her proper attention for the day, you can best be sure she'll do SOMETHING to let me know! And sometimes that something is peeing on my carpet right in front of me! |
Chloe seems to like him. They cuddle and he spends a lot of time petting and massaging her. I think having him maybe feed her would be good. We already go on walks together. |
