My Yoda :( As many of you have read, Yoda has been home since Monday after battling parvo. He still wasn't interested in food but has been taking water quite regularly. The other night, I did boil some chicken and mix it with some soft food and, he did it a lil bit as long as I spoon fed it to him. Well here we go with nightmare#2. He didn't sleep well last night, he ended up in bed with me about 1:30 this morning. My kids and I got up about 7:30 for school and I noticed that he wouldn't get up as he usually does. I went and picked him up and he was just near lifeless and, he kept pulling his head back. I rushed him back to the vet and he is now admitted again. Has anyone ever heard of a yorkie pulling their head back like this? Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts! Any prayers are much appreciated! Rachel Yoda's mommy |
I'm so sorry to hear your little one has been so sick with parvo. I don't much about it but am sending prayers your way :hands::getwellso |
I have no advice to give only prayers. I'm sorry and sending lots of prayers your way for healing.:hands: |
Oh, poor Yoda. I hope he's doing better. :( |
I'm so sorry for poor Yoda. I'll say a prayer for him. I don't have any experience with Parvo but I'm glad he's with the vet where they know what is best. |

Poor little guy, he has been so sick and now this. :( I bet this could be hypoglycemia since he hasn't been eating much and I bet his body has increased metabolism from fighting the parvo. I hope he does well, your vet may need to keep him longer this time to make sure he is "over the hump" before sending him home again. Good luck. Teresa |
How awful! We battled Parvo just a few weeks ago, and it was terrible! My prayers are with you all. BTW, I love the name Yoda! I have a boy named Vader (yep, as in Darth), and my parents have 2 of his children, whom they named Luke and Leia. We're dorks, I know =) |
Poor little guy. I'm sending prayers and lots of get well wishes for him! |
I have called the vet a couple times today and I am waiting on them to call me before they close. There has been no improvement but he is no worse. They really haven't given me any answers to what they think it is, I am just devastated. The first time he was there, I knew that he would be home but this time I just don't know. We are all very upset and just don't know what to do without him here. I will update as soon as I know something. |
Can you give him a bit of nutri cal? I am sending you prayers and hugs Carol and baby jemma |
When he came home with all his medicaitons, he started Nurti Cal every 2 hours. It did seem to help a little bit so I am not sure what was going on with him |
I haven't heard of the head thing but I am sending well wishes your way! My first dog as a kid had parvo and he practically lived at the vet for the first 3-4 weeks we had him. It was hard but as long as you visit him and reassure him you're fighting for him and love him, he will pull through! At least that's what out vet said about our dog, and 10 years later he's still with us! I hope everything works out for the best! |
I am so sad without my little Yoda here. The vet was supposed to call me before they closed and they didn't so I am very upset. The only number I have is the emergency number to the main vet at home. I don't feel comfortable calling that number but I am upset that they didn't call. Sorry, just had to vent about it for a minute! |
